It was one of the weirdest pre match pressers I've heard for a while. Just a combination of reasons really. Not only the "If we won by 20 points" line got another run, despite being one of the funniest things I've ever heard from a sporting coach. But there were other elements as well. I thought Simpkin omission was beyond obvious. Clearly not. I also thought his general mood was so happy and relaxed, that you'd think he was coaching some kind of U18 academy side during a carnival FFS

Oh, and the pearler on Marley. "He came back on, which I always think is a good sign. But he will miss 3 weeks" FFS.
Maybe if he didn't come back on, he'd be a chance to miss just 1?

He has reached peak delusion and deflection.

Provides answers to questions that weren't asked.

Yep, the fact he said it again suggests to me that this is a premeditated thing, this is his angle now, 'well we lost but if we had won it would be alright'.

When he said it in the post-match the other day I thought it was a brainfade thing. No, this is his angle now.

It is genuinely amusing to me. The chutzpah of this guy.

I want the club to keep him just for teh lulz now. What will he come up with next?

It's like he just got back from the bank after confirming that his second house is now fully paid off and mortgage-free.

Everything from this point forward is cream.

Was Marley even on the injury list posted earlier this week, now all of a sudden he has had scans and is very sore, and will miss at least 2 weeks, as multiple people around here noted at the time, why was sent back on after clearly doing himself a significant injury/re-injury ? that move totally backfired in more ways than one.

He doesn’t like being questioned does brad..

Wood kicks 1 goal in the VFL, straight back in the side.
Ahern according to Brad isn't as good as an out of form, languishing, absolutely shit nowhere near the ball because he doesn't know where to go Simpkin.

Okay Brad. Sure.

These decisions are indefensible.

It’s that moment you realize there’s no other tall forward who can run an entire AFL game

Really? No way
Well, I know of the 1 goal bit, should not be promoted on that effort though, jeepers

Yeah, by far the most bizarre presser yet. I dno if I'm either waking up to smell the bullshit now or he's suddenly deluded himself into these answers and making excuses and giving non answers.

The rationale behind 'well if we won by 20 points' and 'the ball isn't bouncing in Jy's direction.' makes no sense.

We spend 2 years addressing the midfield issue, to now have issues emerging with our forward and back line. Back to the draft again....

Really? No way

Absolutely, if I had it my way he'd be in the magoos until he kicked at least 3-4 a game for 2-3 weeks.

His game on saturday did not deserve a promotion if he was dropped to find form. IMO. We have more cats than geelong

That means we're 22 from the last 60. Let me pose a question to you - is that acceptable?
Pretty sure it was a joke in the new running series of gags about how differently we’d feel if something critically bad was instead totally good, thanks to Brad’s cheery hypothetical.

you're a savage lot...

Had we kicked the three last goals instead of brisbane, would the mood be the same?
Thanks Brads. Only if we had won that game by 20 points we would be talking about the Positives. But we get it. A couple of Small Tweaks and we will be Flying. :stern look

People still whinging about what's said in press conferences. FMD, you're not going to get any meaningful information out anything said. Never had.

Also I see that the club is still active on BF, has Heath had a change of mind or is someone else BoomerBrownlow_29

LOL @ Scotts. So he reckons that Jy Simpkin could have had a good game if the ball bounced our way. :stern look

Might have bounced our way more often if Jy wasn't handballing it straight to the opposition...

Yes unfortunately Brad's stupidity has got to a level where you either break your pc or laugh in disbelief.

Brad, the club and his board are so much more entertaining than the product they are putting on the field. It's a very sad state we are in espiecally after bringing in exciting players in Polac and Hall.

I've never been a Brad basher but he makes it impossible not to. He and the guys in the club who protect him must go before it gets any worse.

The way he was laughing about us being smashed in clearances pissed me off too. This isn’t a joke to all of us regular joes who fork up hard earned to watch our club turn to shit. Time for an administrative clean out. The personnel have become stale and complacent and the playing of favourites has gone on way too long. Over it.

I think we get slaughtered this weekend he goes..
