No idea what will happen but will be hoping for high level of intent and result like last year (minus Higgins being stretchered off).

On the crowd front, I’m probably a minus one - the kid has moved into Sunday afternoon time slots for junior footy and it’s his first game today. If I can get to the MCG for part of the match I will, but not sure of logistics.

I’ve just landed in Melb but I’ve ended up at Avalon. I was planning to walk to the G but not sure if I gave enough time. It’s a 3:20 start yeah?

I love beating Hawthorn - it goes back to the seventies. But I am struggling to work out how we can today. Injuries have delivered us an undermanned back line and our forward line is shambolic. Midfields doing ok. Add to that a coach who thinks we did rather well being beaten by Brisbane last week - positives there! So today I expect a 5 goal loss and hope for a 21 point win.

I reckon we are carrying one tall too many. Hawthorn are not going to bomb in to our defence the way Brisbane did.

I'd like to see Ahern come in for either Campbell or McKay (nothing against these blokes, just team balance).
