Round 5 2019 Tiges remind me of Round 5 2017 Tiges.
Some players in great form - 2019 Shedda, Vlas, Macca, Grimey,
Some exciting kids.
Exhilarating pressure.
But also a lot of missed opportunities, fumbles and some terrible decision making.
For most of 2017 we looked OK to good but not great.
And then we peaked at the right time. Here's hoping for a repeat without the run of close losses.

Remember that if there are any teams that we need a genuine 2nd ruck in, it is against Collingwood and Melbourne.

Sydney got smashed in the ruck when Melbourne played them and that may have been the difference in that game, so I don’t think this is the round to drop Balta at all.

Always feel uncomfortable against melbourne, They are the type of team that would lose to everybody then come out and roll us.
Hope we get this mob and restore our season to 4-2

I am most uncomfortable playing Melbourne when they are steamrolling teams and in good form. When they are on they seem to make sure they continue their A game against us.

Melbourne in bad form is what we received last year and we put them away by 46 points, so I am a little more confident than I usually am against Melbourne this time around.

We have to stick our tackles too, as we have seen every other team are allowed a full 360 rotation before disposing the ball, we are lucky if we get 20 degrees before getting pinged.

Inside 50 we must be clinical, should have beaten Swans by 10 goals plus. Our game plan is pretty simple, will be interesting to see if the Dees play the high uncontested possession game, may be their own undoing if they do.

Apparently rioli and lynch sore, will be interesting if they come up.
If they do get up just the one change with Jack in for maybe balta although that does leave nank with a big job.
Our speed and pressure will be too much for the dees to handle if we bring the same mindset we have the last 2 weeks.

sorry for the news but i know this old unit that barracks for melbourne that only gets down to one game a year yet somehow hasn’t seen the dees lose a game live since gary lyon was playing and they are attending the anzac eve game so load up on the red and blue because this one is already decided

This is not the game to revert back to 1 ruckman.

Balta is playing his role for us pretty well. No need to drop him. He can be a good matchup for when Preuss goes forward as well leaving the other defenders to do their thing.

I wouldn't drop him, no way. Speed wise he can torch either ruck. And yes, either him or Astbury for Pruess.

I can't wait to see what Balta is doing at 22-23yo.

It’ll be my first Anzac Eve game and my first Richmond v Melbourne game, hopefully we play well and come away with the win.

It'll be my first Anzac Eve game...my sisters first Melbourne game and my sisters partners first AFL game....so I'm pretty pumped for this one.

We will be right,the young cubs have given the hunger back to our club,Dusty was better for the rest,our backline has been really solid in the absence of Rance,and we have Jack back to ease the numbers of defenders on Lynch.

Umpires will swallow whistles like I gulp popcorn at the movies but we will control what we can control.
