I was overstating my case when I complained about modern footy in the coaching thread, obviously footy is still enjoyable otherwise I wouldn't be watching. I was more responding specifically to GotTheGoodes post about the player going for the ball not being rewarded as much, as that particular aspect of the game has changed for the worse IMO.

Richmond are the type of team who would be awesome to watch if you were a Richmond supporter but make dull games for neutrals.

I love the idea of opening up the fwd 50... Having that big power forward one out... but for some reason it has failed to really eventuate hasn't it? It's strange.

Said it before. The likes of Fitzpatrick swore when we got Franklin they'd make us pay and after all these years they finally ****ed us over properly. Partly makes me wonder if this is why we are not changing the game style in the hopes we can give another giant **** you to AFL House.

What frustrates me the most is, this is just another clear example of the AFL manipulating results and outcomes. 2016 GF anybody?

Yeah because footy is about athleticism now. Back then it was about skills and they were so good and tough they looked like a bunch of Cathy Freeman's compared to the rest of the comp
