Maybe. It is a very easy scenario to imagine. None of those teams will be slouches. But the fact a few or them are at home should help immensely.

I see 7-0 as equally likely to 0-7.

Key to remember is just that even if we were quite disadvantaged (let's be unrealistic and say 70-30 in each game) probability is far more likely we win 2 than 0.

Which is where you bump up against the limitations of a ladder predictor. I rate all teams we play in the first 7 games as stronger teams than us. So I picked them to beat us. However as you correctly point out probability would say we win at least a few of those.

We'll finish top 4 and I'll tell you why. Our weakness was our forward line and we've fixed it. Rohan and Dahlhaus add the forward pressure and they are both suited to the role and not makeshift like the Parsons, Fogarty's and co who were trialled there last season. We'll also get Ratugloea returning from injury and our forward half functioned better with him in the side as that second marking target. We'll hopefully also see the return of Cockatoo. With him and Rohan we have two players with genuine speed who are both good in the air and at ground level and hard to match up on.

Our backline is top notch when they go into games with the right structure and our midfield is second to none but was lacking that genuine first hands to the ball ruckman. Fort, Abbott and Stanley provide something different depending on which way they decide to go but we recruited Fort for a reason and he's the best tap ruckman of the 3 so he should provide our mids with first use. Selwood, Ablett and Danger struggled a little last year and the main reason was the lack of continuity from our big men. Once Stanley had a consistent string of games it's no coincidence our clearance numbers improved.

I genuinely think we can win the flag next year.
Rohan is going to make a few people eat humble pie I reckon
He'll apply plenty of forward pressure which is something we lack ... I think Rohan was 4th in the league for goals from his forward pressure. He can also mark the ball in the air and provide a better forward 50 presence than what Menzel did so there's and added bonus there too.

He's a better player than most give him credit for.

Will it be substantially different in a team that's Hawk-centric?
You watch with interest young padawan.

Very classy player who gives 110%. People will start getting on board soon enough.
We're more likely to be 4-0 than we are 0-4
One of our teams major weaknesses is a lack of speed and pressure. Rohan brings both. He's also an exceptional user of the ball. He can take a mark, he tackles with 110% intent and he has breakaway speed with the ability to break the lines. All the things we're screaming out for. At Sydney he was used in the wrong role in a Buddy centric forwardline. Buddy is one of the most selfish players I've ever seen play the game which also didn't help Rohan's cause.
I understand the scepticism relating to injuries but if he stays on the park he'll be the recruit of the year. He has are the tools we need. Very talented footballer.

And there were a few that agreed with him about Rohan.....happy to say I was one.....Rohan has been a revelation...(whew...got one right anyway!!..lol)

His detractors are quietened....at least for now...

Im happy to say my only query on GR when first linked to him was the cost of the trade. When it got done for P61 ..well..not sure how anyone could really gripe at that. Its now just a matter of him being fit enough to play at his best potential standard , (which he has done , apparently his best PS for a fair while)..and staying fit. For that we will have to wait.. its going to have to be a revision thing , at the end of season , at the end of a couple. For P61 ..we have a very low threshold for success.. maybe just playing well in a few games at the G.. better if they are important games like finals etc. We get 20-40 games out of him its an overwhelming success.

The overall percieved improvement of the side is in part from Rohan.. no one has ever doubted his talent ..only the frequency that he showed it at. Player like him are hard to peg a role for ..but his current one seems taylor made to him. His conversion is a sweet bonus that I had under appreciated.
