It means they are having a shot at goalNot to a man they say "shot on goal" what does that even mean?
Then we should 100% do that trade at year’s endI want those who regularly criticise the value of Ruff in our side these days to take a good look at Brown and then give yourself a punch in the face. Ruff would walk into this north side in a heartbeat

Think they first took it off soccer, but they have shot on target and shots as 2 different stats. Why in the last ten or fifteen years have commentators lost the ability to distinguish prepositions. These morons collectively used shot at goal 20 years ago. (I mean lets face it you're shooting at something not on it.) Not to a man they say "shot on goal" what does that even mean?

Reckon that assuming they researched terminology from other sports is giving them a little too much credit!Think they first took it off soccer, but they have shot on target and shots as 2 different stats.
AFL industry being semi pro, butchered it and it's now ingrained in everyone's footy jargon.

Agree. And I still can’t get my head around “versing” that my kids use......”who is Hawthorn versing?”. IT’S PLAYING!!!!Why in the last ten or fifteen years have commentators lost the ability to distinguish prepositions. These morons collectively used shot at goal 20 years ago. They beat North at home - just - who were missing their best player.Fair play to Port they don't seem to be missing Wingard one bit, have some good kids especially Rozee who looks to be Wingard but 8 years younger and at the start of his career, coupled with Boak and Rocky coming back from the dead they'll play finals.
I think it’s just exposed who the shit forwards are. Lynch and Cameron haven’t struggled to get a kickI thought the stupid 6-6-6 rule was supposed to open the game up for the KPF to dominate. It actually had the reverse effect. Ben Brown and Tom McDonald are two guys I thought that would’ve benefited from the new rules this season. Good job AFL![]()
They can’t afford to pay him out, hope they keep him I love seeing them lose weeklyHistorically, he’s extremely lucky

Leave no stone unturnedForget sending them to Tassie...
Send them to a knackery...
You sound exactly like my son.Not usually one for the hot takes but I think Norf are not very good at professional football.
Yeah this is a pretty good explanation. Especially the semi pro part. Explains a lot.Think they first took it off soccer, but they have shot on target and shots as 2 different stats.

backline must be feeling left out of the "nicknames club".
Good Friday is boring and having Essendon vs North Melbourne doesn't help matters

Read this exchange. It’s very good.
This one is particularly egregious as "versing" is an actual word with a meaning. It means to write verse for a poem. It doesn't not mean "playing" or "opposing", but it is being slanged that direction.
