Rhino is a horrific journo lmao

Simo will be spewing.

And his family. Three months holiday would sound pretty sweet right now.

And jokes aside we have two coaches recently tap out due to burn out. Simo is coaching a pretty tough gig ATM and will earn a decent break.

Um risk v reward?

We may be willing to risk a 2nd rounder.

But not pick 1.

Thats is pretty logical.

It is logical but it’s also just as logical as looking at Reid the same way.

Huge Huge upside and very confident in the club keeping someone like that and if he wanted to go home in 2 years his value will still be huge.

I'm pretty sure a pick 1 will be treated by default with the upmost accommodation. We probs treat other picks with non-care. So there is more risk there

Look at Barnett he is whittling in the twos.

Club has worded that differently to what was said. Both Eddie and Rhino said the club will want him to have a break.

There was way way too much information in those reports for there not to be a lot of truth IMO

Im in the draft Ried camp......atm anyway!

Be very happy with him stepping away right now even if only for a couple of matches. I don’t want a Clarko situation and let’s face it - what would be lost?

So let me get this right.

We are scared to death of a first round pick leaving but have no issues with second round pics and others leaving. Wow some logic there

ZOMG DONT PICK VIC HE MIGHT LEAVE

Selects vic in second rounder. Time to boil the frogs
The interest in the 2nd rounders isn’t there normally after that first 2 year contract. Plus they have the mind set of will I get drafted or not

So, only pick second rounders?

Does this mean we pick a second rounder with the first pick, as picking the first pick with the first pick is risky? How about we pull a swifty, and pick our second pick with our first pick and our first pick with our second pick. They wont see it coming.

Can we get [PLAYERCARD]Jacob Weitering[/PLAYERCARD] or somebody who can captain this side? We need to have a good 20-25 year old gun that can lead us. [PLAYERCARD]Tom green[/PLAYERCARD]?

The Weitering who is in the verge of getting dropped by Carlton?

Young talent this year and big fish next year.

Next captain is already at the club anyway. Oscar

Some time next week.

May 30th was mentioned earlier in this thread I believe. Makes sense as it enables clubs to create a list spot if there’s an injury this weekend

Spoke to a mate who grew up and lives/works in Euchuca-Moama if he has any contacts in Tongala.

The reply:

Never seen the kid without a footy in his hand. But you need to trade him. Bloke walks around the town likes he’s already won three brownlows
Swagger....we need some

Soft caps gotta go

Not sure I see the point... we already have one assistant coach with senior experience (Knights) and one that is highly credentialed and earmarked for a senior role (Schofield). And both have only been at the club for a single season. I imagine they have multi-year contracts, so moving them on isn't really an option.

I don't see the value of adding another senior coach, unless there is any evidence that Schofield or Knights are part of the problem. Plus, with the soft cap, it's pretty hard to retain a lot of senior talent.

Both second year at the club. Schoey has a 3 year deal so would imagine Knights would be the same. I cant see same group all coming back after extensive reviews and think Schofield is more fancied at the moment.

Not really relevant to Cox I know

Watching our stoppage setups and midfield positioning unfortunately I would suggest they are a problem, particularly knights. With the players we have in the middle we can't expect to not get blown out on CBD and our stoppage work is actually pretty decent around the ground. So maybe i'm being rough on Schofield.

However Knights has only ever showed capability as an offensively minded coach, we get sucked into the contest and the opposition gets easy ball on the outside. Literally in the centre any opposition player can just flick out a mid range, long handball in any direction and almost every time at the moment it'll go to either a player of his team or to his teams advantage. That is a huge problem.

Nisbett needs to go
Gepp needs to be walked out handcuffed to Nisbett
Kofoed might get 1 more year but if by mid next year the injury situation isn't multitudes of factor greatly improved he needs to go
I'm sorry Gav but you're just not qualified for your position. Even if justifying that is by in essence not asking me to come interview in a process but basically offering me the job of head recruitment here in WA despite knowing im hours away, would have to move and you've got very little money to offer whilst knowing my personal intentions for the future is the reference point for peeople.
Our development coaches need to all go.
MRP needs to be dug up, have soft loam added to the soil mix and be relaid.
We also need to look at studies on the outcomes of our indoors training facility and how that affects players going from one major training surface in one type of shoe to a completely different one in another.
Also the surface of Optus is a ******* disgrace. This is not the clubs fault but it's been further compacted by the Ed Sheeran concert and the turf relay is harder than a cats head.

Was his Geelong midfield that good offensively though? I don’t think they became that offensively minded until Scott made the reshuffle with assistants (Not all his fault I know)
