Two quibbles re McKercher. 1) sub-6 foot and pretty slightly built, for a guy whose natural game seems pretty inside oriented.

2) more concerning for me -- looks like he always wheels onto his left side. The worry isn't that he's not good on his right, it's that his entire movement is one-sided such that potential evasion/exit paths are spatially cut in half. See the same thing with Gaff for example.

Thoughts?

We just got some airtime on Footy Classified (first time I have watched in a while, also never know how big a grain of salt to take this stuff with)

• Simpson is still being encouraged to stay, but to take a full 3 month break at the end of season or before
• worldwide search underway for s&c expert/s
• will try to exit (via trade) some senior players with currency this year (mentioned other clubs have interest in Yeo, Darling and to an extent Gaff). Aim to hit FA hard 2024 and 2025
• most important, if we get #1 it is 100% Harley Reid at this stage (I.e. unless the pack catch up. He is rated well ahead and no funny buggers or splitting, we will take him)

Not a lot on MSD but inferred at least 2 picks (and showed a graphic of 4 vic players but I doubt we could get all 4, without knowing names of all I assume it was guys who will all be taken in the first 6-10)

Probably not a lot new there, but interesting nonetheless

I really hope we take Maric but can see us taking the home grown player Buller instead. Hawks having Maric play for them last week has me concerned. Probably in his ear already telling him they’ll take him and all he needs to do is tell West Coast he’s “family orientated”

So many young kids these days are “family orientated”. So many nice oriented families in Vic.

Doubtful as he nominated 18months himself knowing the Eagles would be pick 1. Surely he would only do 6 months if he wanted to stay in Vic that much.
