Petty has proven he's an AFL standard player. O'SullIvan has proved nothing with respect to ability to compete at the highest level.

Connor O’sullivan could be nothing more than a huge kid looking a million bucks against all the smaller lads in his draft year… and made to look even better because his draft year is full of spuds…

We all know this years draft pool is miserably shallow..

If I’m giving up our pick 10 for a KPP… I’m giving it up for Petty over a draftee..

Has he been THAT good? He's had fantastic players around him, certainly. He's had a pretty serious lisfranc injury. He's been pretty anonymous in a few of the games I've seen, though there's a lot I haven't.

I get the fact we're looking for someone who can contribute soon, but this draft DOES have a lot of quality talls, so we'd want to be confident.

Has he been THAT good? He's had fantastic players around him, certainly. He's had a pretty serious lisfranc injury. He's been pretty anonymous in a few of the games I've seen, though there's a lot I haven't.

I get the fact we're looking for someone who can contribute soon, but this draft DOES have a lot of quality talls, so we'd want to be confident.

He's a known quantity as a quality defender.

He is an unknown quantity as a forward, given he hasn't played much up forward.

Definitely has footy smarts.
