Twomey on the gettable just mentioned North has offered pick 2 and 2 picks in the teens (15,17 maybe) for 1 and 23 which we have knocked back.
Dees offered 6,11,F1,42 knocked back aswell.

For those keeping score, North offer worse than the one we knocked back from Hawthorn points wise. Melbourne's offer about the same as the Hawks one.

In line with what I have heard, no chance we'd pass back a pick and with 15 and 17 blowing out it's just not going to happen.
That'll also kill the Dees bid completely.

North gearing up to offer 2,15,17 without pick 23 going back as a “final offer”. Hopefully ROB swats it back just as quickly.

With the later picks sliding out it would end up being worse than Hawthorn's offer. As such unless North panic and do something foolish we will end up with Reid.

So North have gone from 3x late first round picks to pick 2 and 2x late first round picks but with 23 going back

Next step would be to change 23 to 37 going back keeping in mind that with say 2,15,17,23 we may not even use 37

Then North splitting 3 into 6 and 11 from Melbourne with something trivial going back and we get offered 2,11,15

I’d ask for more but I think that’s getting close to what the club would accept

We’re only in the first week for pick swaps and North have already moved one end of first round pick to 2.

Still nearly 4 weeks to go for them to make another couple of improved offers

Not sure we'll see anymore until draft night, North may simply remove the second pick coming back to them but from what I have heard that could very well be the best offer we'll see.

JUH is massive offers and Dogs will let other players go before losing him. He will have no interest in Perth though, doesn't he like the celebrity of it? I'm not on instagram but seen enough articles about who he's dating and out and about with that imagine he wants to stay in Melbourne or live it up in Sydney.
Buddy was big on the social circles early in his career but tired of the attention in Melbourne pretty quickly.

Dogs cap squeeze is a watch. Naughton signed, English, Smith and JUH are the big names remaining for the end of next year. Their huge list of talls is also curious.

JUH doesn’t appear to have any WA links and Perth is a footy fish bowl anyway with 2 teams for the media to focus on versus 10 in VIC.

Very low chance he would come west, just some wishful thinking of better options to splash $1M+ on rather than English. Zurhaar is my current favourite as a FA next year, but for considerably less $$ than that I would hope. Sam Taylor the following year 🤞🏽

North really "calling our bluff" by falling over themselves with repeat offers.

I'd reject it purely to piss off Clarkson now and watch him inevitably punch some North lackey out of frustration.

Interesting update. Still feels like North are taking the piss especially asking for 23 back. Given what we've knocked back from Hawks and Melbourne now both those North offers are very, very underwhelming, feeling more likely we hold unless they seriously step things up.

New Gettable:
  • Cal talking top 30 changes
  • discussed 15 players just outside the 30 that could easily be in it.
-Laura Kane joined the desk, non-committal on any Free Agency changes, Also non-committal on NGA, A lot of waffling. Will look at forcing a pick in the round a player is picked. Doesn't believe the draft is compromised (HAHAHAHA).
  • door might be open for mid-season trades but a lot of water to go under the bridge.
  • Can clubs rebuild through the draft quick enough? - Maybe.
  • Tasmania - rules for list still being worked on. Want it competitive from day 1 without compromising the rest of the comp.

Questions from fans
  • North est to use 5-6 picks, WCE to use 4-5
  • Do WCE trade F1, Possible but doesn't think a club in that top 6 would swap out.
  • 2, two late teens for 1 and 23, Rejected. / Melb Rejected.
  • Windsor a watch for top 10
  • North pitching the late teens picks but no one biting.

thats about it.

The cheek to ask for 23 or even 37.

37 and a future 3rd or 4th could get GC 27*

2, 15 and 17 isn't too bad and I maintain is the minimum

Based on today, everyone is out except Norf

thats about it.

Spent the first part of the pod talking about how even the15-45 range is (pretty much what ROB said)

Which means Norths late teen picks aren't going to move the dial.

I think someone already said it here, but I'm starting to think Norf doesn't want Reid. They've got by far the most trade capital, yet have consistently offered the least.
