It will be interesting to see if WC go after some priority picks or assistance package this year if we don't win more than 2-3 games for the season.

I'm not sold on the top end of the draft and wouldn't be opposed to splitting picks 1 or 2 (if Oscar leaves) to bring in 3 good mids in the 5 - 20 range. Even trading our 2nd rounder for a future 1st could end up being a smart move if we plan to bring in our NGAs this year.

Can't see there being a 8-10 player turnover in a year with little FAs or traded players coming in and a shallow/lower quality draft year.

There’s plenty of mids who were showing more at this age but Axel Walsh is the best young ruck I’ve seen since Kreuzer and he’s already the same height. As I’ve said best chance for us to get him is a mini draft situation but we’ll have to cough up. Spending his top age year with Nic Nat would be a great head start.
he looks very good, be interesting how he progresses over the next 2 years as he has elite agility now and will end up 205cm minimum

So with Carlton getting access to walker next year I wonder if they will try and trade next years first to get another pick in this years first round. I’d personally be ok with giving up hawks pick to get Carlton’s future first, I think their list stinks and likely bottom 6 again next year, could be a real opportunity to get multiple picks in a stronger draft.

Using pick 1, 2 and 19 + NGA still would be good result imo, whilst simultaneously improving next years hand.
They need to be sure he commits to them first.

He's an NGA for Richmond.

I also Reckon we’d get something extra to go with the F1. Maybe along the lines of an F3 for an F2 upgrade.

Pick 1 for 8 and 14....fk that

Add Moyle plus something else and its getting close.

A fair bit this guy got wrong with our list needs. And he also stuffed up saying we always focus on WA talent.

We end up with picks 2, 8, 13, 14 and 19.

His droft for us.

2. Lindsay Vic Def
8. Cumming SA Mid
13. Baker SA Winger
14. Rodreguez WA Mid
19. Best availble - Farrow HB/ Mid / Curtin KP/Ruck both WA
Plus two academy kids
1 FS

Also mentioned Mitch Marsh as a 3rd tall mobile forward we need to add variaton with our young forwrds.

Im not unhappy with that haul if it happened that way at all.

Moyle had the chance to leave last year and pick his club (like he will again) why would be pick the Eagles? It’s not the NBA where a team can trade him to what ever club they want.

What would the suns do for back up while they are in the window. Read is a while away from an AFL ruck, Knobel has a decent foot injury from memory and who knows even if he is AFL quality.

Hope it’s true as it’s the only reason that trade would make sense to me. Or a Flanders ect.

Time to foot and it makes his kicking vary variable from watching him a lot.
So you’re trying to tell me that you’re the only one that can see he’s not a great kick of the ball.
Geez sack the recruiting team and employ Donkers.

They knew like everyone that his kicking is limited and a weakness. They still recruited him because they liked some of his other traits and are hopeful he can transition these to AFL level. If he can’t then that’s what will cost him his career at AFL level.

so with this what do you think GC would be doing to gain their points needed, selling all their 1st round picks and a F1st?
They should be fine selling their 3 x R1 picks and will get a premium. They are good at that

My main point was to rebuff the idea that that get a pick in earlier and buy pick 1 or 2 as proposed by a few
