Taking Worner off immediately further exposed us, Hoskin Elliott was able to come in to the forward zone and really dominate for pace and opportunistic attack on the ball. Take either MJ, JOM or Banfield off (and move banfield up the ground) and play Worner on Hoskins-Eliott and that is a better outcome.

WHE was far from dominant lol he had one mark from a kick which went over the top of who it was intended for and did well to capitalise from by kicking a goal but far from dominant or sighted thereafter

Worner was the correct choice to be subbed off at the end of the day.

Would need to win last 5- Eagles, Carl, Port are winnable and then home Bris and massive final game against Dogs in Melbourne.
Hayden Young was the difference against pies and is the key to success. He takes the heat off Serong & Brayshaw to trying to be both inside bulls and outside clearance.
No coincidence Freo lifted when Young came on..

I was just looking at the mini match and Darcy actually had some goal involvements just by being out on his own in the middle of the ground. There was one in the 3rd where Jackson hit his kick to him from the wing and he handballed off to Wagner for the Voss goalsquare goal vs Quaynor. And there was another in the last quarter.

I think Cameron was the best ruckman with his intercept marking especially in the 3rd quarter, but our rucks kicked goals and having 2 was the reason they played Cox who had zero influence on the game.

That one hand pick up by Jackson in a contest in the middle where he got it in a split second to Treacy who gave it Brayshaw for the kick forward for Voss's 6th was magic.

I actually don't think Omac was as bad as some are saying and thought even his two FAs that lead to goals were very iffy.

That being said it was Cox on Chol majority of last week, and was moved to Mihocek when it mattered too. Won two huge contests against him in a row in the last with the second one leading to the Jackson goal.

If we could get a new coach with a different game plan we can accelerate things. We have way too much talent to be outside the 8.

I really wanted JL to succeed but I’m off that band wagon now. Clearly, it’s not working.

Unlike the loser yankee above, I've never waivered on JL. His emotion and FU attitude after the game was awesome. You can just see the "told you so, ya s***eaters" on his face, especially when they asked him if this win would give the boys confidence. Ha! As if winning the last 8 of 9 and having the best record against top 9 teams doesn't give the group confidence.

Imo, the players are working more cohesively together and understanding how their assigned roles can work together. Over the past 9 weeks it seems like they're really matured. They are making better in game decisions. How many times have we seen Freo s*** the bed and lose it in the last quarter? Too many. They've now showed they can come back from multiple goals down at 3rd quarter time.

We are loaded with so many great players, they can't all be stopped. Brayshaw has a great game and then Serong the next game. Jacko the next and bolton the next. Then Voss kicks 6. Someone bobs up every week to lift the team. I loved beating the biggest club in the land and will enjoy listening to the f***wads in the media offering up multitude of excuses on why the Pies lost instead of focusing on what Freo did to win the game.

I'm with JL on this one. Told ya so, ya s***eaters.
