I think what annoyed me (among other annoyances) was AC talking of not buying into the 'hysteria' about results. Whether referencing us fans or the media or whatever, it's not hysteria, it's being sick and tired continually seeing these sorts of outcomes yet nothing seems to change, tangibly.

I think the media are certainly on the hysteria side of things. That sells and drives clicks - CLARKSON THE WRONG MAN FOR THE JOB? ROOS IN CRISIS? - not measured and reasonable criticism of where we are. I actually think it seems like a lot of the fan base has moved past the hysteria stage and is probably more at a fatalistic apathy, which surprisingly seems to be lending itself to relatively rational analysis of where we are.

But I agree that "not focusing on hysteria about results" unfairly paints everyone willing to be critical or sad or angry about results with the same brush, which is wrong. It's been six years of this. We are allowed to question what's going on, without being labelled as hysterics

Thing is though - Geelong didn't smash us on disposals.

They absolutely caned us on forward 50 entries despite not terribly dissimilar disposals counts.

That plus high pressure ratings point to an extremely poor game plan however poorly executed.

We were completely out coached.

Do people honestly think the players are listening or caring about following a game plan? lol

It won’t matter what he says the heart isn’t there

Turned on the ABC yesterday, the commentator was praising the tigers for their style of play, taking the game on and running from the back. Coach setting them up for the future, playing the modern game.
And then there's us, stuck in Clarko's time zone.

Scathing news has emerged that a series of list management, drafting and coaching decisions made at the Arden Street club have been made while senior staff were under the influence of various substances. This paper does not contend the procurement of said substances was illegal but that their use and effect seriously questions the ability of the club to continue to engage as a viable member of a professional league.

Recruitment Manager [PLAYERCARD]Brady Rawlings[/PLAYERCARD] said "supporters are never satisfied but improvements are just ganja take time". When his Freudian slip was questioned Rawlings became defensive "who's paranoid now?... Are you a narc?"

Clarkson has rigorously denied demanding the Daniel trade while under the influence and also asked for patience "we all want silverware but these things don't just change in a spliffy."

When this publication questioned CEO Jen "Charlie" Watt about the disastrous offloading of the 2nd selection she was even briefer with her response- "mellow out man".

The overuse of Marijuana in all club decision making capacities is reportedly rife with President Sonja "in da" Hood allegedly pulling cones before board meetings.

Allegations that the whole North room was sharing Kava at the time of the Whitlock trade have been met with a stern "no comment" from the club.

League headquarters are said to be mortified, saying that other clubs dabble in hard drugs and even dabble in a little Rohypnol but would "never endanger their on-field prospects just to make Hendrix come to life".

That must be why they’ve kicked 200 less points than us this year and had more blowouts.

Geebus you'd be silly not to look at a local drug addled campaigner from the DFFH estate, in North melb to coach in care taker mode.

It makes sense , a couple of pieces of the ice a day and she/he would be good to go. **** could at worst case drop one spot on the ladder . And save a mil per season , minus the purchase of the pieces of ice .

If the aints pants us by 10 or more goals it has to be curtains for Viney and the assistants at years end.
Viney legit hasn't looked interested during his entire tenure. I understand there's probably an element of resting campaigner face, but this was evident from the very start. The daydreaming of other places has been written all over his face

It’s not like there’s been coaches every year only Shaw he’s had for less than two. Hes gone through the day to day enough that changes in coaching wouldn’t be the cause of his issues

Precisely.

I’m sorry, I didn’t realise he needed the same head coach for more than 3 years to learn how to kick a football.
He had about 80% Kicking efficiency on the weekend and more effective kicks than anyone except Pink and McKercher. Sheezel and Parker both had more kicks but less effective ones than him and a lower kicking efficiency.
