I'm not old enough to remember the GOAT Windies teams but I do remember when they still had Curtly Ambrose and Courtney Walsh. And the great BC Lara. Not sure they even sold day 4 tickets at the WACA in those days.

I brought a pair of keeping gloves because I really liked the windies Keeper Jeffrey D.
But I was the worst keeper ever.

Old Adelaide Oval you could sit right behind the batsman in the nets and Ambrose was ridiculous. I assume he wasn't going flat chat in the nets but the bounce he'd get off a good length was frightening.

The amount of quality quicks they produced over a 10-20 year period was insane. It’s sad they are no longer a force
