It'll be interesting to see what decision the AFL makes regarding ticket allowances

Best treat Cats as the home team for priority ticket allocation. If not, what’s the point of having a “regular season.” If I see the G flooded with Hawks fans I may need to buy a new tv next week.

I’ve been buying 3 game memberships for years and we are definitely P3 not P2 already.

I got a 3 gamer for my son this year and he’s P3 I didn’t even bother trying to register him.

No idea how some people with 3 gamers are P2?

Limit of one (1) ticket per member barcode.

You can purchase a maximum of ten (10) tickets in one transaction.

Weird, for Afl membership tickets they've actually seen sense and split the sales times.

It's annoying that they've opted for the sales period to be at the same time for both games, but it's likely to only be around 100k tickets to be sold

The MCC reserve is approx 23k, and similar numbers for the AFL Members Reserve (which has a slightly later release time), so club members would be better vying for around 50k for each match

Doesn't necessarily make it better, but there's not going to be 90k+ competing club members in attendance for both matches

Does anyone have a feel for how early you a log in to Ticketek and be placed in the queue for when the tickets actually go on sale?

They seem to have changed the system this year, because in earlier years, if you clicked the link to buy tickets before they went on sale, you might be in the queue for a while, but then you'd get to the ticket purchase page, and only have about 10 minutes to complete your purchase. So if you logged in too early, then the tickets still wouldn't be available in your 10 minute window, and then you'd lose your place in the queue.

When I booked for the qualifying final, the process seemed to be different, so started off in a lounge prior to the tickets going on sale, and then at the opening of ticket sales, I was put in a queue. The problem was, I only started the process about 20 min before tickets went on sale, and then when the actual queue numbers came in, there were already about 15,000 people (or devices) ahead of me in the queue. By the time I reached the front of the queue, there were no seats on level 2 available at all.

So I'd like to hear anyone's insight of how early you can log in to get nearer the front of the queue. Thanks.

The Lounge is new - it was in use last year with purchasing Oasis tickets

Was speaking to my neighbour who is a Pies member apparently there game doesn’t go on sale until Tuesday (she is annoyed as she took tomorrow off thinking tickets would go on sale for both games as in previous years)

The fact the both games are not going on sale at the same time, should hopefully relieve some of the pressure on the site

That's what I thought as this is what's advised on Collingwood's info page where I got ticket prices from

Tickets for the Preliminary Final will go on sale Tuesday, 16 September:

• Competing Club Members 10AM – 2PM (AEST)
• AFL Members (MCG) 12PM (AEST)
• General Public 3PM (AEST)

Thanks for this. I've got the AFL spreadsheet for the 2022 finals prices but not this years. Man they make it hard to find such things. I think that's why I kept the 2022 one. I remember it was difficult to find the link for that as well.

I was looking at some info on the AFL website before posting the above info and they had a link to "ticket prices" - it linked to the 2023 prices

I'm a bronze AFL member with Hawthorn club support. I'm guessing my odds of getting a ticket is close to zero?

You’re entitled to get a ticket via Hawks membership allocation I believe.

You should be able to use your afl barcode in the club member sale. You will just have to pay club member prices.

I've sent them an email to ask why because it is contrary to their own terms and conditions (21.3) where it says bronze has access for weeks 1 to 3 to club on sale.

This is what the email I got says:

edit: now I read it more closely, it says gold and silver members with club support can access the club member sale. Nothing about bronze. You might be out of luck unfortunately.
