This is where DeGoey back to full midfield minutes is a huge boost for us. And Steady Neddy Long

Your midfield 4 is strong, but if Brisbane shut down Daicos, the 4-6th mids in Rayner, Bailey and Levi Ashcroft will trouble you in a big way IMO. Will, Hugh and Josh will be tough enough, but factoring in the three other rotations, our mids will be fresh at every stoppage and prove to be a big handful.

Brisbane probably won't have to worry about shutting down Neale.

No doubt this week Collingwood will find out that the Lions won't be like the crows.
Just like the Lions will find out that the Pies won't be like the sun's.
Game of death!
Who holds there nerves better!
If its to the death probably us seeing as were old as **** and nearly dead anyway

The Pies are a different team, to that team. That was in the middle of an epic form slump. Bobby Hill's attempted come back game (a disaster), No De Goey, Howe, McCreary, Houston, Frampton, Cox. Neale was BOG but against a Collingwood side that was a shadow of what they were 3 months ago. If that Adelaide game form continues, and the Pies star players fire again, this game should be over at half time.

De Goey and Houston played that game?

Good call 12lios: as neither the Crows or Suns were prepared to play against hardened and extremely experienced final teams bar for a handful of young Lion players. On the flip side, Pies and Lions Saturday evening have been there, done that and won it all. Should a ripper of a game with who applies the greatest pressure but also 'as you say' the ones that can hold their nerve and handle the other sides immense pressure the best will be the likely winners.

A matter of opinion. Will "the little maestro" Ashcroft says hello.
Yep, every opposition coach and supporter when coming up against Brisbane all think the same thing.
"What will we do about Will Ashcroft, how do we stop him"

It is no coincidence how a player can seem a little better than what they are, when little to no time gets put into them.
One day in the future, he may be worthy of a tag (or attention) but not just yet.

Lachie Neale is a great player but Brisbane's midfield is still great. The 1 question mark I have over Brisbane still is their forward line especially with Charlie Cameron being as out form as he is.

Charlie was awesome on the weekend. Didn't get the reward on the scoreboard but his pressure was fantastic and did great work up the ground. He and Lohman were game changers in that regard.

Lions just have to put up with Pies pressure and keep the game close, yes the lions have a better midfield than pies, if Neale was playing they would be beat pies by 5 goals like recent game at the G.
We smashed them earlier in the year and lost more recently having played 3 games in 12,
The AFL’s best defence up against a depleted BNE fwd line will be decisive.

If both teams are on point, I think it'll come down to how well the Lions shut down Nick. The midfield depth of Brisbane would be a lot to beat if Nick is shut down. They are much more balanced without Neale in the team - no shade on Lach but the dynamic midfield combination of Dunkley, McCluggage, Ashcroft, Bailey, Rayner and Ashcroft jr gives us so many options, whereas when Lachie is in the team, he can only play the one position and it means leaving one of Bailey and Rayner out of the main rotations which makes us a bit more predictable and easy to plan for.
De Goey, ND, JD, Sidey, Pendelbery, McCreery, Long, Crisp, Perryman- more depth and no fears.

The lions have an elite midfield even without neale, pies form b4 finals was terrible, still i rekon close game,
both teams have finals experience, rekon lions will win cuz better and younger midfield., but pies have
done well with this year with the old players.
