Hello Cats fans.

I’ve got three consecutive seats in the Ponsford stand. (SQ30 “Level 4 Front”). Two adult and a concession. Looks like they unlock Thursday according to Ticketek.

Suffering from a bit of finals financial/emotional fatigue and am 50/50 about schlepping the family down for this one. Will be losing some money on flights and airbnb cancellations.

Feel free to message me if you can help sway me to stay home. Will ignore new posters with no history.

FYI. Sold to a Cats poster on here. Sorry and good luck to others who had expressed interest. Will let people know if it falls through.

They haven't had accessible parking at Yarra Park for the past few GFs as the parking area is taken up with marquees and the festival site. Assume it will be the same this year.

We got accessible parking for the '22 granny, I'm pretty sure it's a requirement for them.

Grand Finals are endured in the moment and then indescribably relished or grieved in the minutes and hours and days post-siren.

Same level for me. There is an S in front of the Q showing on the ticket in the app. Any idea what the S means? Not S for Shane Warne stand as it’s Q53 which should be the Olympic Stand.

The S just means Section, I think.

Given no numbers are released, I wonder if we could do a quick poll/survey in here mods to get an estimate of split of membership entries and chance of success.

Maybe something like:

• P1 member, entered ballot and got tickets

• P2 member, entered ballot and didn’t get tickets
• P2 member and didn’t enter ballot

The Club giving P2 status to 3 and 6 game memberships is also to blame.

The membership dept shoot themselves in the foot quite frequently.

P2- Had given up hope after waiting all weekend for a debit notification (then Ticketek). Didn't come. Accepted that I'd be watching somewhere else.

I just got an email from the club to say I was successful in the ballot. No debit. no email from Ticketek with seat allocation.

I tried checking the ballot page on Ticketek this morning and it said there was one successful ballot transaction. I figured that was for the ballot registration. There's a link the email from the club to check the ballot page but now that is in queue for the AFL gold sale.

I think I'm in? Anyone else in same predicament? No money taken (from what i can see) but successful ballot according to club?

Wouldn't expect any tickets to appear on Marketplace. Your best bet is here.

There's a lot on Facebook but most of them are scammers. Id suggest people try here which is what I'm going to do-more legitimate.

Well can I encourage everyone here who would have got the "soz you missed out email" to do the following:

Open that email
Forward to membership@geelongcats.com.au

Just type a simple message, stating that you think 3 and 6 game memberships getting P2 access is unfair and devalues your full membership.

That's all that needs to be said.

I just did that. Hopefully if enough do they might think about it.

Level 1 Wing & Level 2 Wing, plus whatever Level 2A is are the most expensive

Level 1 Goal differs if your Shane Warne or Ponsford Stand - up the Pondsford stand end, it's the whole of level 1 which is roughly 8.5 bays from the AFL Reserve (nearly on the 50m arc) to the MCC Reserve

Up Shane Warne Stand end, it's only 7 bays that go from pocket to pocket totally within the Shane Warne Stand

The Olympic Stand is considered "wing" for the full length even though it goes to the pocket

Rang membership services at the club and sure enough we're in.

My wife had organised the ballot this year and i asked her to log into Ticketek on her desktop rather than the app and sure enough, the ticket details are there in her order history. Standing room tix but we couldn't be happier! I was resigned to the fact that we weren't one of the lucky ones this year so obviously I'm deliriously happy.

Sincere condolences to all who missed out this year. I feel I know your disapointment.

Still, not sure what's going on with the transaction. Hasn't even shown up as pending yet - but club says it must have gone through and we're going and thats all I need to know.

Now I'll go back to my long history of board lurking. But before I go; a huge shoutout of appreciation and thanks to all the contributors to this board and especially the mods. I do love to come hear to read all of your opinions on our great club. and witness all of the Cat's personalities of varying light and shade. Its a great board thanks to you all. Cheers.
