My, how the mighty have fallen. The best time to have traded Clarry was 2-3 years ago. Teams came knocking, but insecure Brad Green had to assert himself..Not much depends on how much salary Melbourne are paying. Maybe a future 3rd.
Methinks Ross is on a clandestine AFL project to reduce the number of Victorian teams. A team made up of mercenaries expecting a short turnaround.Geez saints love to over pay.
Interesting decision costing the club let's say 4-6mill. If I was one of the Directors I would be mightily pissed off. If it was a private company he would be drawn and quartered. My, how the mighty have fallen. The best time to have traded Clarry was 2-3 years ago. Ok Jack.... out of 100 what would you say the Curnow deal to Geelong would be?The reason I think the media are leaning towards Curnow to Sydney is twofold right now.
Firstly, neither Geelong or Carlton saying too much on the Curnow matter publicly, so the media do what the media does and just start making assumptions. Just because a deal on Curnow to Geelong is not imminent, they swing the narrative to the fact he must be going to Sydney.
Secondly, the media are also running with the Sydney narrative as they assume that Geelong either (a) don't have the draft capital, or (b) will refuse to send a best 22 player to Carlton.
On the last point, there's some talk that the Saints was our future first and not this years first. That might put this years first on the table as part of the Curnow deal. I see someone posted an offer from Geelong of this years pick 18 + pick 38 + George Stevens and then Curnow and later picks back to Geelong. No idea where they got that from but they seem to think that was Geelong's offer.
They're like a teen blowing through their first pay check.Geez saints love to over pay.
What St.Kilda has done now will make their cash-splashing for Brad Hill and two broken players in Hannerbery and Crouch look like a kid spending pocket money at the canteen. It's much more than wild. It's incompetent. Especially when 3 of the 4 are not even A graders.
Mark my words, they'll be in a world of hurt in a couple of years' time with a mediocre team and a bulging salary cap, a la West Coast a couple of years ago.
And if the AFL then hands out assistance to them to dig them out of the hole they're currently digging for themselves, like it has just done for West Coast, I'LL LOSE MY SH*T!!
Yeah, but how else will Fox Footy be able to drag on what could be done in two days over nearly two weeks? It's the theatre of it which we're all (sadly) invested in.Free agency shouldn't last a week, especially not RFA - if needed, open it on the Wednesday and have the Monday as the last day for lodgement, so that any potential matching is completed by 5pm Wednesday
Trade Week opens on the Monday, and it finishes on the Friday at 5pm... Or if they really want their "primetime" viewing, then it goes through to 7:30pm on the Friday
After seeing his mcvee get traded for pick 23 I reckon either we're committing a crime there or one was committed against Freo today. Not sure whichTrade Radios first mega trade - from a Geelong perspective, I want to know where to sign

McVee was a 7 pick downgrade, 12 to 19. Reminded me a little of the Zach Tuohy trade. After seeing his mcvee get traded for pick 23 I reckon either we're committing a crime there or one was committed against Freo today. Not sure which

Aren't the Saints still on the AFL teat? What St.Kilda has done now will make their cash-splashing for Brad Hill and two broken players in Hannerbery and Crouch look like a kid spending pocket money at the canteen.
More akin to a young apprentice on minimum chips maxing out the limit on their first credit card within days of issue, I would have thought. They're like a teen blowing through their first pay check.
I'd rather watch A Country practise than trade TV/radio what it's called.
Lots of squabbling. Is it necessary?
Squabbling is the lifeblood of BigFooty so your question amounts to a "does a fish really need gills?" scenario.Lots of squabbling. Is it necessary?
