Not one iota of me is feeling we will make out any good with this Simpkin to Collingwood trade. It will happen, and we will be bent over.

Let's be honest here - despite all the crap that Jy's leadership and standards setting is valued highly at North, we all suspect (for a good reason) that this really isn't the case. Jy leaving would, in reality, free up salary cap room (not sure what we need it for, but surely we can find a way to use it smartly) and give us a first-round pick, which we currently don't have.

As far as I am concerned, he can go, provided we don't pay a cent of his salary, and we get a half-decent first-round pick for him. Where Collingwood gets it from isn't our problem. My only reservation with this is the fact it sets a wrong example for our young players.

Interesting how the success angle hasn't been raised before in the month of more midfield time being the driver...an easy thing to guess and adds to the narrative being pushed that North should just concede and take what we are given by a favoured AFL team.

Hold firm. I don't even think 2x F1s are worth much, should as for more. 2027 draft it'd be about pick 30...if pies want to improve then they give us what we want.
