Ours has Ryan, Gov, but even worse Owies. Long pretty fortunate to be on there too.
They must print the calendars really early. Probably explains why there's no McCarthy and Shanahan.
Biggest omission is Harley Reid. The manufacturers must have been convinced he would request a trade back to Victoria.
I wonder if the clubs have much on an input on which players actually ends up on them.
So if they weren't printed until post-trade period, at minimum you'd substitute Ryan, Gov, Owies & Long with Harley, McCarthy, Shanahan & Starcevich.

Meanwhile last year we perfectly predicted the month that Allen was gone...

I feel like a captain (Steele) being traded for a third round pick is kind of going under the radar ?
Don’t see the rationality in Melbourne pushing out Oliver just to bring in an older player of similar ilk, even with the off field issues.

They just want a mentor to the young mids who doesn't smash bags of coke whilst going bankrupt on the pokies.

It could've had Allen too, except it might have been printed after he had met with Sam Mitchell and looked set to go to Brisbane.

Could we just request 12 months of The Boy?

King and the club, clearly want a reset of the culture. They were happy to lose Oliver, tried pushing May out. Petracca was a casualty of being the big money player who they could actually get a return for.

If you want a chuckle at the outright entitlement and delusion some people have (with a dash of not knowing the rules), peep the hawks board. Some highlights include:
Zach will sit out the year.
The afl will intervene for the sake of Zach's mental health.
Zach will retire, then go into the mid season draft and nominate hawthorn?
Zach will retire, then go into the psd next year.
Hawks will walk him to the psd this year?
Zach will terminate his contract? Then train alone until the mid season draft.
Zach will get himself delisted in the next six weeks then go to the psd.
It's fine because we'll just get [PLAYERCARD]Bailey Smith[/PLAYERCARD] as a free agent next year (possibly mean Zach Bailey?)
Pick 10 and 22 are worth the same points as pick 4, so we can trade for pick 4 from Richmond.
It's fine because we'll be able to take Robey with pick 10 then someone will pay us their f1 for pick 22.
Someone dismissively saying they'll have moved on within 90 minutes (said three hours after the fact, so already wrong).
And of course the guy who spent over 24 hours providing periodic "this many minutes until Merrett is a Hawk" updates (you campaigners know what happened next).

All in all, someone should tell Trac that now's a good time to do a video on brining olives, because the salt supply has never been higher.

The Bombers are in denial they are in for a full rebuild. Hawks offered quite a bit to for a 30 year old.

Did they though?

Pick 10
Pick 22
Future 1st

With Academy and father sons pick 10 will push out to mid-late teens, pick 22 will be nudging 30
The Future 1st again with Academy and Father-sons likely to be pushing be 20+ next year as well

It's not great once you break it down. Hustwaite offered no value to that trade.

I don't begrudge Essendon for sticking to their guns on that one.

Multiple Hawks players (Hardwick and Ginnivan) have now taken to social media throwing barbs at Essendon for not trading Merrett

They are the most unlikeabke AFL team I've ever seen
Little man-babies throwing their toys out of the cot when they didn't get what they wanted. Hilarious.

Yeah if I was a Dons fan Id want Merrett out and all the picks in.
Nah, they have Martin our for a chunk of the year, they have Parish unable to get on the park.

You saw what happened when we had no senior midfielders playing at a high level (especially Yeo out). Everyone sucks. Need Merrett to help lift the floor and allow the kids to play. That's why they asked for a senior player back as well.

Those late picks would have done nothing to lift the team. They already have 5 and 6 this year.

Interesting looking back at the T Kelly trade and the high profile trades this week

In the first attempt Geelong wanted an early pick, inside the top 7 from memory which wasn't achievable from our club

The following year the Kelly trade was similar to those from this year as Geelong had correctly determined that picks around the 20's and beyond are very hit and miss with around a 1 in 4 chance of getting a good player
