We have Tom Campbell as a stop gap veteran. Then Heath.

No one after that.

No way we’d invest in a high pick on a ruck/fwd this draft tho. Can always get a cheap ruck pretty much every year.
Could see Sam Ainsworth being great quality as a ruck prospect or future key back

We also got a very good deal for Petracca. The point I'm making is we hold the whip hand in any negotiations.
Hold on a second, aren't you the guy who told me we were getting Bailey Humphrey?!?

We holding a whip why didn't we use it!!!??

That was a lot of hot air from D'land.

I was intentionally being a nuff with the rumours, made that pretty clear. We definitely had a go at Humphrey but I still think the picks were an excellent return. Some idiots made up that Lamb said we want established players so they could melt about it after we just got picks, but anyone who thinks we didn't do well is a dumb campaigner (Not directed at you Toump).

Like it is actually unreal how good a deal we got for a guy who is 30 (Plus we moved the entire contract).

Yeah it is, I'm just messing around :D

Love you schmuttty!!!!

Ahhh knew I was forgetting someone. Who are your other rucks now outside of him and Gawn? Is there a succession plan in place bc I feel like there’s no more significant fall off both on and off field for any club due to a player retiring than Gawn whenever that is?

Schubert’s goal kicking is pretty great, it’s his field kicking that’s a bit of a concern
You don't replace Gawn, you just find a way to do it differently. We had a gun ruckman, most good teams don't need one.

Either way, any clubs that looks at a top 10 pick thinking, hmmmm we should pick a back-up ruck with this needs to be folded.
I mean, yes, I agree. But he's also the best KPF in the class. I do see the point though, I just would've assumed that a true-size KPF and genuine second ruck option would round out the list a bit but I suppose you've lost and will lose enough veterans to just go BPA

We're about to grab Kalani White who will be our developing ruckman/ forward type.
Yep, and anyway we're not looking for those types in this draft anyway. Need to grab a few dynamic mids, small to medium forwards. Improve our ball movement.

You’ve got to look at the bigger picture here. The club traded out Trac and McVee for two picks that’ll land outside the top 10 and a minor 2026 pick upgrade, and somehow they’re patting themselves on the back like it’s a masterstroke.

Let’s be honest, that’s hardly an embarrassment of riches.

And a secondary issue is that clubs are not coveting top selections this year. It is a buyer's market and we overpaid.
I think your underplaying this draft firstly.
And we needed to part ways with both Tracca and Oli. As much for a culture shift... as they are of the old midfield style.

Our game-style has to shift markedly from where Goody had us playing.

Having two early top 10 picks has us in good shape for this draft.

Cal twomeys latest phantom draft is up and usually by now he has dialed it in but if anything it has gotten more murky...

So many players linked to a club in top 10 i.e. Schubert to Dons at p5/6 but if not then expected to go 20+ at best.

We are linked to Robey, Tayler, Cumming, Farrow but not Sharp and other picks in that range. Linked to Latrelle Pickett who is at rank 22 but comment is that our picks "look to be a touch early". Then we are linked to Nairn who is at 25 with out early picks?!

Form Guide is separate to his Phantom Draft.
