ThisShierlaw is terribly out of touch but is still a better option than Shannon. l think she will lift come grand final and help us win plus she can play FWD, back and pitch hit in the ruck if needed where as Shannon is doing some costly errors in each game lately.
We will easilyBrisbane will be tough with the momentum they're gaining from beating up on the blues

Some woeful melting - it has to be said.Just read through this thread for the game today.
heck a few here have no backbone - jumped off real quick.
I said it after the hawks game that the prelim would be tougher to win than the granny.
And that was the case.
Our leaders were great on Jammin , kearns and even Jenna did her bit at key stages - bogue the road runner was sensational.
Sherrin was massive in her first game in 6 weeks

Never in doubtWe’re not winning this

Took my camera along today to capture crowd moments. They’re here if anyone’s interested!
Sherrin can cover for Shannon. Shannon has made a few errors in the last 3 games and seems to be hesitating when making a descision or attacking the ball.

Eliza's strong point has always been her spoiling and ground coverage. Crocks knows that and that’s why he won’t be dropping her unless he’s very confident we won’t lose our balance. Unfortunately, she’s a liability when the ball is below her knees, though. Mia has to come in, if she’s fit - no doubt.I would prefer to run Sherrin through the midfield. Thought that she did some really good work on the inside today.
I also agree that Shannon has been pretty nervy recently and I would hope that Crocker would be looking at how to fix that over the offseason.

Absolutely. I sat up on the top level of the John Elliott Stand today because the morons who organised the ground shut off part of the seating next to the Interchange benches for a half dozen or so MFC members to sit in. That's where I normally sit and I was far from impressed. We're not many in numbers but we're passionate though!
I was watching the game from the comfort of my lounge up in nsw but I agree the noise from the TV especially in that last quarter after Bogues goal was nothing short of inspirational and I bet the girls would have been lifted by it.Absolutely. Anyway, in the last quarter when Bogue put us in front the roar from all of our supporters in the Legends Stand, was quite incredible.
I honestly believe that the North Melbourne, North Melbourne chant that then rang out from all of you in that Stand, actually was so inspirational, it played a huge part in our girls increasing the lead and hanging on for a win. Sensational effort everyone.
I hadn’t realised watching the game, but liked Crock mentioning that after the first 10 minutes or so of the game Melbourne only scored one goal (don’t think he noted that it was from a 50 metre penalty). So they were ahead for a lot of the game and it was close on the scoreboard but most of that was their blinding start.Couldn’t watch live and held off checking scores so I could watch blind. Blood pressure was a touch high I’d say watching that.
Credit to the Dees, they made us work for that. Felt like their talls (particularly defenders) were just marking absolutely everything. Hack kicks forward falling in their laps too. On the other hand it felt like every bobbling ball was evading us and we just couldn’t quite get clicking.
In the end they couldn’t go with us when we threw it all at them in the last. Didn’t score in fact. Forwards mostly had a dirty day but were hunting like rabid dogs when it mattered.
Jaz and Bla Bla won us that one. Bruton is as classy as they come. Sheerin is grouse and just provides such a different look with her power and big left leg.
Feel like that one will hold us in good stead for next week. Nice to see Brizzy getting all their arsey goals out of the way tonight too.
1 more please.
Shannon had a shocker but I think we need her height and speed in defence for match ups. I don’t want to limit sheerin with a defensive assignment for the whole night. We might need her elsewhere..Shannon had bit of a shocker today, but i hate to change a settled defensive unit.
That is my bias for swapping out Shierlaw.
Yeah great point. Our mids stood up after the poor start and got the territory battle back on our terms. Credit to the Dees defense and general pressure for making it tough for us to crack them open.I hadn’t realised watching the game, but liked Crock mentioning that after the first 10 minutes or so of the game Melbourne only scored one goal (don’t think he noted that it was from a 50 metre penalty). Agree, I think Sheerin was much more influential in the midfield today. In my view that's where she should stay for next week.Shannon had a shocker but I think we need her height and speed in defence for match ups. I don’t want to limit sheerin with a defensive assignment for the whole night. We might need her elsewhere..
If Shierlaw gets dropped that means more of Emma king up forward. I don’t know about that. She had a shocker forward too.
It’s a tough one.
