we could have taken either in theory but chose FOS and rightly so

Even if we'd kept the 2nd rounder we traded for Daniel they both would've been gone I imagine.

Just wasn't happening. Can't have everyone.

no agree and still very early doors on both Tauru and Trainor and whether they are better than the talls we have taken in Dawson, Thred and Whitlock, (obviously this is still in dispute as to back or fwd) and then Hardie as more that rebounding/dist

A bunch of men's players who haven't previously been mentioned as attending the AFLW GF are clearly visible in this clip, including LDU, Dylan Stephens and Whitlock. Will Phillips is there too. Anyway, let's not make assumptions about who did or didn't go.

.

The look in Sheezel's eyes in this clip says it all for me. Happy to support the women's team but I'm burning to play AFL finals and lift silverware with NMFC. If Sheezel is not captain in 2026, then lock him in for 2027 and onwards. Good to see the other AFL players there as well. Just get the feeling we are setting up for the upcoming AFL campaign differently this year. But then again Clarko will head into 2026 as one of the most under pressure coaches to deliver some progress. As already highlighted by Kingy and others on this board.

From GL

Nothing says First Day of Summer training in Melbourne more than blazing sun, during rain, howling wind, repeat, repeat.

One NOTABLE standout:
Brayden George SLAYED in a session of non beep, beep test running with a field featuring Scott, LDU, Stephenson, Griff and he left them all for dead, each run, every run.

Goater took a nasty hit to the head by Goad who was running through a pack. Either caught him with his knee or hip and spun him 360. Left him dazed and with a fair amount of blood but he may have been somewhat lucky that the blow wasn't a fraction lower or we could have been looking at facial fractures.

Walked off under his own steam.

RHJ was busy busy and finding space and looking good.

Powell. LDU and Sheez looked like a pack of circling sharks.

Darling was very busy with tackling, running down and marking well.

Pink in defence was looking very solid taking several quality marks.

Trembath took a couple of lovely marks but most telling was him spending time being mentored by Goad and Monkey and practising some ruck work which may mean Clarko is looking for at some ruck pinch hitting instead of Darling.

As always take these comments as biased from an eternal optimist. Not only is it only pre season training it's also only drills.

Hope you enjoy.

Welcome to club, took you a while ;)

Look at the size of him, he's bigger than LDU ffs

If anyone deserves a bit of luck, it's this fella right here.
Go well BG!

This kid can't catch a break, he was just telling me on the weekend he was going well and his body was feeling great.

Powell will be on watch this season but would be alittle surprised if pushed out of best 23. His best asset is versatility. He can can cover afew places on the field. End of last year he ended playing a lot of wing.

I’ll put it this way. If he isn’t best 23 for all the games either he falls off a cliff or everything has gone very right for us.
Agree entirely. We still don't have the depth to push him out immediately.

But if I was in his shoes, I'd be trying to move out of the beige - lift a little and make it clear that you are trying to lift yourself to another level.

On the trajectory you suggest (and I agree he is on), his career will be taken out of his hands.

Nothing screams big footy overreaction like making an assumption based entirely on one photo
There are very few posters who can do this and still warrant respect. I'm guilty of overreacting over not much, but the "Egyptian" on the draft, is absolutely one of posters who you can trust.

‘Stephenson?’

Is this an article from 2023?
Thought the exact same thing.
Look at the ****ing levers on Thredgold
Mate, there's a reason "Gadget Forest" is named at CHB in my team. Look at him, he's a genuine ****ing alien ffs. Him and Whitlock (Chesty) are unique builds, I like that if you're not gonna win - at least be interesting to watch play.

For all we know he could end up being historys greatest Gumby. All I know is if he does it won't be because he doesn't have the physical gifts

Alright, keen to here the predictions: how does Brayden George find a spot in the seniors?

Surely there’s an alternative to “waiting around for Zurhaar to get injured”?
Im glad CZ stuck around, great for morale etc - but if there was one player we could have afforded to loose given positional back up at half forward in return for a decent pick, it’d be him.
