Jackos' first four, Cripps, fair call. Likely leader. Barrass!!!, Naughton !!! Bolton!!!! and add Worner.
Really are they the best four to start the talks on?
A long way out for the game but I just hope the selector picks some really good ones with what is left.There really are some better out there. Aren't there?
Does the game really need the SOO? Can the game really resurrect the dead or dying carcass of the SOO.

Sadly AFL origin is unlikely to get the passion of rugby league

Yesd they may have been first but it died a solid death espeically with AFL nationwide.

Without the passion it wont be exciting.

My dad went to the first ever Origin match in 1977. A sold out Subiaco to watch the Vics get kerbstomped.

The expansion of the game into RL states is a good thing but it has probably weakened the concept fatally. Hardly any NRL players come from outside NSW and QLD which helps keep the rivalry going.

Reckon it'll be thereabouts a 10 goal win to Victoria and kill it after 1 game.

I can remember as a kid in the early 80’s our teacher having the match on the radio in the classroom, and the rivalry felt pretty real!!

Our headmaster was a Mr Kaulman, a former WAFL player so I guess it got the all clear from above lol.

I hope there’s a way back to that in some way, personally believe it should be an honour to play for the state and players should strive to get a call up. I hope someday that becomes so, it’s nothing but good for the game.

Indigenous All Stars game was a snore fest. This will be equally as boring and bruise free. Just more s**t by the AFL to grab some easy money.

SA gets Gather Round
NSW/Queensland get Opening Round and now of course Melbourne get it.

We get..................glorified training drills.

I don' t mind them trying to resuscitate it, it will be better than the all stars (you can't boo and bay for all stars blood, but you can for Vic blood). But I suspect it won't work, the problem for the AFL has been that Vic fans don't care about it, so even if there's passion amongst the smaller states fans and players when we try and shove one up big brother, it isn't reciprocated. So it never really gets to NRL level of passion

If the best 23 players from both states went all guns blazing in it - Vic would win by at least 60 points. There is a massive difference between the sides.
VIC are stacked.

WA v SA would be reasonably competitive
