Can we win this as that will make things a lot more relaxing when I rock up on Boxing Day

Only the second time I'll be heading to Day 1 for the Boxing Day test and both will have been for Ashes tests - last time Day 1 was rained out 😂

Tone's weather wall says it's gonna be scorching for the first three days at least. Poms need to win or the rest of the summer is dead rubbers and mind numbing BBL.
No ashes test in Australia is a dead rubber as long as the away side still has zero wins.

Win the toss and bat for two days.
Given how inconsistent our batting has been for a few years, there would be something extremely cathartic about batting for 6 sessions. The first innings at Brisbane was ridiculously satisfying. Would run their fitness-poor bowlers into the ground for the series, cant wait for Stokes to do the performative nonsense of holding his knees after every single ball for 2 days. Maybe by the 5th session he will be doing it for himself and not the cameras.

In my opinion, Stokes is not putting it on.

It's just that he can't disguise his emotions, and that is why he shoud not be captain.

Yep, win the toss, bat first. That's paramount. It's going to be roasting hot for the first 3 days, especially Day 2/Thursday high 30s. The pitch will be hell to bat last.
