No, I'm asking if you knew why the 1st Crusade happened when you brought them up?Are you insinuating that Christianity was never spread by the sword?

Wow. Those non-expansionist Europeans just sitting on their continent going nowhere and doing nothing ever.
Now it’s been declared a terrorist attack you would hope the police actually go after every single person they know who deals guns with their extra powers and hopefully they can actually get some proper sentences for once.Yes, and they get these illegal weapons by stealing them from people who have them legally, but if we made it so these weapons are illegal to everyone then there is nothing for the criminals to steal.
Well of course.Didn't the Pope promise some spiritual rewards?
Well of course.
Saracens were pushing into Europe from the Norse were pushing down south and Spain was a Caliphate by then, although it had already collapsed into smaller Muslim states.
The first Crusade was a response by the Holy Roman Empire to the Byzantine empire's request for help against the Seljuk Turks, who were threatening Constantinople(the home of the Orthodox Christian pope). Obviously the pope promised spiritual rewards, as was the fashion at the time, but he framed the Crusade as a war to recapture the holy land from Islamic rule.
Bearing in mind, Muslims were pushing into Europe from the east and the European nations were fighting amongst each other continuously at this time. It was probably the first time they united against a common foe and the army was structured in a way that everyone was equal. Nobles held no automatic rank and all crusaders gained rank through merit.
Quite an interesting piece of history. Of course, subsequent crusades weren't so 'noble' and numerous atrocities committed but every side was doing that at the time and there was no side more 'righteous' than another, which is why I find it odd that people will always point to the crusades as some historical anomaly of horror when far worse happened that most people wouldn't even know about.
Just look up Chinese history during the warring kingdoms and unification for example. The stuff that went on there makes European and middle eastern conflicts look like a bar brawl at a local pub.
Police have been confiscating firearms and ammunition from drug gangs in Sydney for years.Yes, and they get these illegal weapons by stealing them from people who have them legally, but if we made it so these weapons are illegal to everyone then there is nothing for the criminals to steal.
Guy had gun taken from him, falls back to the bridge to be with his buddy Naveed, grabs another gun and both go until they are taken down. Shirtless guy stomps on the guy who had the gun take from him.Has to go pick me daughter up so have missed chunks of coverage…
Guy that had the guns taken from him, was he shot by police not long after this happened ?
The two gunman on bridge what happens to them, where they the ones arrested and then dude kicks one of them
Correct me if I’m wrong but gun taken guy had black short and white pants, there were two gunmen on bridge in all blackGuy had gun taken from him, falls back to the bridge to be with his buddy Naveed, grabs another gun and both go until they are taken down. Shirtless guy stomps on the guy who had the gun take from him.
From the footage, it seem that Naveed was motionless (dead), and guy who had gun taken from him was still moving (so assuming he is the one in critical condition in hospital.
And yet the vast vast vast majority of people from every religion are able to coexist peacefully in this country. As is the case with non-religious people. Important not to generalise the actions of a few radicals to all members of any religious group.Who cares about what happened 100’s of years ago…how about we focus on what we can control?
What’s going on today!
It is abundantly clear that certain cultures/religions/society’s are NOT compatible and never will be.
Everyone can sing Kumbaya as much as they want, but it will never work.
I don't think he would technically qualify for Australian of the Year, I do imagine he'll get numerous awards and would in my opinion qualify for the Cross of Valour.Should be Australian of the Year. Insane courage
Lol. Some of the strictest gun laws in the world but still not good enough. Maybe time to look at the real issue ....Yes, and they get these illegal weapons by stealing them from people who have them legally, but if we made it so these weapons are illegal to everyone then there is nothing for the criminals to steal.
Do you fantasise about these events happening to other ethnic or religious groups or is it just solely confined to Jews?Did you actually read what you quoted?
"So I hope in vain for a decapitation airstrike one day that liquidates Netanyahu's entire military and civilian leadership."
Israel's civilian leadership is Netanyahu and his government ministers. The military leadership is self-explanatory.
Again, this is not and never was me saying all Jews should be slaughtered. That has never been my line.

A relative of the hero who risked his life to grab the weapon off one of the gunman has spoken, revealing he was shot twice.
Speaking outside hospital to 7NEWS, Mustafa revealed it was his cousin, 43-year-old Ahmed al Ahmed, who likely saved countless lives when he wrestled with the gunman.
Ahmed was shot twice in the commotion and was due to undergo surgery tonight.
Mustafa said his cousin, a dad-of-two who owns a fruit shop in Sutherland, did not have any experience with guns but was simply walking past when he decided to step in.
“He’s in hospital and we don’t know exactly what’s going on inside,” Mustafa said.
“We do hope he will be fine. He’s a hero 100 per cent.”
