Given Logan has missed so much footy (he only played once this year, on managed minutes in one VFL game on April 6), I wonder if they give him a run in the 2's for at least a couple of weeks to get some match fitness back into his body?

If he gets a full pre-season I suspect the match sims and pre-seaosn games will be enough

I wouldn't think so. Its not like there's not a whole preseason ahead and the usual practice. And hes also had that special program to work on with that expert. He'll be primed and ready to flourish

Cox said in the interview last night with SEN Logan will start the season forward, but then on top of that be a strong player between the arcs; decision-making, execution by foot, and adds a point of difference we missed in 2025.
What he was doing when he got hurt

I assume cox means put Logan back as a spare tall in defence at the end of the quarter like Sam Reid to solidify the defence. Surely not full time.

What I’m really waiting to see is the size of Logan’s guns. Below is what he should be aiming for - hope Billy Knowles is onto it.

It's not always that easy, genetics plays a big part in it and you don't want to rush the build.

Logan is naturally big through the thighs and hips though.

Play to your strengths, I wonder if some sort of acceleration/burst type training would be beneficial to him. He should have heaps of power through the big kaboos. Tbh I don't want him to get any bigger through the upper body if it reduces his speed &/or endurance. I think Amartey is more comparable to Thilthorpe size & I don't think Logan suits that size.

He has strong game sense and a good footy brain. Looking forward to a big year from him.

Interview with McKirdy

“As cliche as it is, I’ll play wherever Coxy wants me to play...

Whether that is forward or back at times, or wing or ruck, I’m just happy to be back out there playing. The past 12 months have been rough, and I’m grateful to be back out there with my best mates.”

Very mature outlook. No chance he won't be the #2 KPF, he complements Curnow really well whereas Amartey is more similar. With McLean more likely to play second ruck Amartey is the bloke at risk of missing out.
Please just play him as a forward.
