If the tabloids are to be believed, Lewis Hamilton is joining the illustrious company of Kanye West, Pete Davidson and is dating Kim Kardashian.

I bet the FIA TV Director is thrilled. Charles Leclerc's GF probably less so (less TV time with Kim Kardashian hanging around in the garage).

Dunno, Hirakawa is about to be 32 be pointless putting him in the car.

If it was a fill in for one or two races and you want points its fine as hes a good racer but i agree he isnt getting a long term seat whereas doohan might.

What about Landos mum?

Apparently Ocon has said the cars are harder to follow than last year. Please let him be wrong.

Or going blind, I mean, it is Ocon and we all remember his Force India days with Perez so he could try colliding with every driver on the grid.

Pretty keen for the season. Just imagine if Aston Martin comes out flying with its different design with this from Newey.

“We’ve attempted to build something that we hope will have quite a lot of development potential.

“What you want to try to avoid is a car that comes out quite optimised within its window but lacks a lot of development potential. We’ve tried to do the opposite, which is why we’ve really focused on the fundamentals, put our effort into those, knowing that some of the appendages – wings, bodywork, things that can be changed in season – will hopefully have development potential.”

Looks like the FIA are about to backtrack on allowing Merc’s 18:1 compression trick after Red Bull suddenly pulled their support. Now we’re hearing the testing procedure will switch from a static test to a high-temperature test before round one in Melbourne.

Absolutely ridiculous to be changing the interpretation of the regs just four weeks before the opener after teams have spent years developing around them. Another classic FIA clown show.

George would be sad, could be a dent in his title ambitions.

TBH they should have done this once the loophole was discovered rather than a month out from R1

I can see the other side on this one. The relevant clause in the PU technical regulations is:

5.6.3 No cylinder of the engine may have a geometric compression ratio higher than 16.0. The procedure which will be used to determine this value may be found in the Appendix to the Technical and Sporting Regulations.

The first sentence makes the intent of the rule clear, even if the details around how it's tested muddies the water somewhat.

Wait……….
Team backing its world champion driver over all comers?
I’m shocked. Not.
backing is fine. but disadvantaging a fellow talented driver to do it, nup! remember when they forced oscar to swap positions cos norris copped a slow pit change? even max was amazed/appalled.

In hindsight if they didn't do that then Max wins the title.

2025.

I mean, that is the biggest gazumping of pit strategy since compulsory pit strategy was introduced. Ahead of Schumacher/Ferrari nailing Alonso/Renault at Magny Cours.

But at least that was against the opposition and you can say Schumacher had the better car. McLaren absolutely fried their own driver that day. He had to go to the burns unit at the closest hospital.

Turia Pitt and Jackie Saburido did not get not get scorched as badly. DO NOT LOOK UP A PHOTO OF JACKIE SABURIDO IF YOU DON'T KNOW HER!
