Look... im not the biggest fan of Slot.. But if another club sacked there manager after they won the league the season before, they would be laughing at that club and think there basket case.
It would be a terrible look if we did that to

Jacquet hits the ground running, Ibou extends. Plus Wharton plus a new winger and we're singing along next season.

Yep. But also, there’s nothing to be gained from throwing the coach out at this point of the season.

Having said that, it’d be nice if Slot could remember how to rev the players up a somewhat decent first half sometime soon.

He won’t go.
Just needs to get top 4 for champions league. Otherwise going from title winners to Europa league the next season isn’t ideal

what other fans think about LFC is inconsequential

I think we can be reasonably confident the EPL will get a fifth team in the CL again?

So need to get another five points ahead, relative to Man U and Chelsea.

It has been difficult this season with the interrupted pre season but starting to lose a bit of faith with Slot unless he can pull of #7 in the CL.
Yeah i agree 👍.. I just wish he gave some of our bench players more game time..
TBH I like how Slot benched Salah for the games he did. Yes I love Salah but his form was terrible and tbh his form still not better. He should of been benched.

For me it's CL or miss Europe altogether. Playing one game a week will mean we can have a proper crack at the League. Europa is a waste of time.

I think Hughes/Edwards need to sort out contracts so they don't drag on year after year. TAA, VVD, Salah, Ibou.

I don't follow Arsenal/City/United contract situations but do they leave it until so late to resign players etc

I just watched the full replay;

1/ Liverpool desperately need some wingers or a new system without wingers. Gapko is a statue. And Salah is not what he was. Wingers have become a massive problem - neither of them are a threat at all.

2/ Szo’s goal - WOW

3/ last five minutes was insane

4/ Ekitike needs to work on his vision. He takes too long at times and he misses obvious balls

Good game

Szobo and Grav have 2 years left after this season, without CL football, there's no reason for them to re-sign, and even if we get CL next season, that's 12 months left and they have all the cards, so we're staring at losing them on a free in two years

It isn't his vision. He has developed a bad case of the Gakpo.

Dude they just won the single hardest-to-obtain trophy in international soccer this side of the world cup.

Admittedly both will probably be due a pay increase then tho.

Hughes/Edwards can earn their money.

Realistically I don't see Grav going to a better club than us. If he left so be it. Not fussed.

Szob I could possibly but pretty confident he stays.

I think he's an unsung hero but you're right - Zubimendi's contracted until 2030, Enzo Fernandez until 2032, Rodri will probably extend at Man City to see out the rest of his prime years - so what does that leave? A Casemiro replacement?

Honestly I reckon establishing a viable gameplan for the post-Salah era is a bigger priority right now.

Agree. Game plan is the priority.

Lets say in a crazy world we simply accept this is a transition year and the finishing position is irrelevant.

If that was the case then the very least I would have expected is knowing the back four going into a next season. That remains uncertain.
Becker? Georgie?
We still don't know our right back?
Are we confident our CB pairing will be VVD/Konate?

I don't think anyone could predict our starting 11 for the opening game of next season. If anyone got 7 out of the 11 I would be surprised. Let alone the formation.

There's the Isak question too, when perhaps we should have used that money to buy a left and right winger (leaving Ekitike central) instead. Interesting times ahead.

Still fuming over the goalkeeper parallels. Allison completely throws our lead away with a brain implosion, then Donnarumma stops a Mac wonder strike that would have really lifted his and the team's spirits. Swap their shirts and we win 3-1. Allison being the dominant goalkeeper (unless it's a CL final) on the field is meant to be our one wood! That's how you know it's just not our season.

Being in champions league is actually dangerous for us because it means we can qualify again by winning the comp and not finishing top 4.

The issue based on form and availability we will get knocked out by a better side and then be too far back from 4th to qualify.

I am Slot out which I know isn’t the consensus but his inability to play Chiesa and Rio and stick with an ageing winger in Mo and a dud in Gakpo is infuriating.

Edwards/Hughes - Ekitike
Slot - Isak

I think if we sign Isak first then we would not have signed Ekitike. I think Slot insisted on Isak as he wanted a striker that is premier league proven (fair enough). I don't rate Isak that highly but hope he proves me wrong.

It seems Donnarumma is destined to haunt us for many years to come. A bit like De Gea being Superman against us for so many years.

I think we'd have scored bucketloads of goals this season if we had a front 3 of Semenyo-Ekitike-Mbeumo, fed by Wirtz and Szobo. We absolutely get into enough dangerous positions, but Gakpo and Salah haven't given us much. Mo is creating the odd big chance (usually wasted) but we badly need some dynamic wide attackers who can finish off chances when required.

Arne Slot: “If we don't have Champions League qualification, then it's definitely NOT been an acceptable season”.

“When I arrived here we could only sign Chiesa and that was after a Europa League season. I'm completely aware of that”.
