Listen, my expectations were no doubt unfairly shaped by his extraordinary debut. Fact he was never able to replicate that explosiveness with the consistency of say someone like Simon O'Donnell (to pick someone of a similiar standard) means he's ultimately fallen short of his potential. That innings summed up his career. Good knock of 40 comprising some nice shots and dropped catches, but wasn't quite the match winning effort that we needed given the circumstances
