hopefully he had a minutes limit after a slower PS and he’s reached it (even though it doesn’t look like that)On bench with hammy iced up
This season is cursed. One player and he’s injured
His leg is being iced... but the boundary rider has been silent.Awareness or injury?
Might just be a bit sore after his 4 kicksOne player and he’s injured
More likely his run with 3 or 4 bounces in a row...Might just be a bit sore after his 4 kicks
Tell me why it stopped for 25 years then.
The AFL doesnt need it because 40K plus go to nearly every game, NRL is a suburban comp played largely in tinpot stadiums.
Players are pulling the pin halfway through the 3rd quarter.
Wow.This season is cursed.
Have pretty much lost all interest now.
100%
But thats another thing clubs wouldn't allow, especially finals participants
Players were withdrawing on their own accord and fans weren't showing up, interest died with the advent of the interstate clubs. When the game went professional clubs frightened themselves and this convinced fans that to be afraid of injuries it will cost grand finals.
The inception of the soulless Allies really didnt help and SOO faded quickly with clubs undermining it and convincing players to avoid the game. It was the perfect storm when combined with the professional era.
I do think there is room for the carnival to come back. The players want it representative football and I think if done right it could be a must watch on the calendar. If im in the minority so be it. I can live without it. I just enjoy it.
Youd be missing a fair chunk of the best players then.No id run it in conjunction with grand final week. Grand finalists miss out.

Yes the Allies were a disaster but the reality is unless you played Victoria no one cared, even then it was a tough sell.
We've moved passed it.
