What the heck? Pies sending letters to elderly members asking for their inheritance

Why did you ask for proof of Hawthorn doing it then?

Champ 😆
Ummm i dont think i did.

My response was from Carlton doing it.

Champ. 👌

Go back and read all the replies slowly. 🤦‍♀️

This seems pretty clear that you asked for proof of Hawthorn sending similar letters...

Side by side they steal your inheritance
The cheek of it as well.

Pies supporters will just have the rose colored glasses on and nothing to see here!

Even after Craig Kelly has apologized for asking for elderly members to include them in their personal wills.

Pies supporters just be like ….. but your club did this in 1963… 😂🤦‍♀️

Who cares about the Hawks. My whole argument has been you saying Carlton did it. That was not a reply to you either.

Or is Mr Twitter your main source who is most likely a bong head Pies supporter on welfare living in Broady with Mum and Dad in a rental??

Meh. Can't get too mad at Collingwood. Most clubs seem to have done this at some point and yes, that includes my own.

Poor from all clubs who engaged in this IMO, especially when those same clubs won't let you spread your ashes on their ground(I can understand this, would be weird for the players to be playing on a field of dead people but if you're begging for the money, something's gotta give...).

Most clubs do it and it’s shit.
What’s next, same letter to stage 4 cancer sufferers?

It was reported on the news tonight that one Collingwood member who received this letter is under going cancer treatment 😬

If clubs are going to send out this type of correspondence, then send it to everyone other than those with children's memberships - yes, it'll still be going to those older members but it removes some questions around it being a targeted campaign if it's a 30yr old who also receives that letter

Everyone over 50 got one

Terrible stuff

Club owes us a sausage sizzle 👍

Who the hell is Chris on twitter???

That could be any old troll and even a Pies supporter himself trying to justify his own clubs shit behavior by dragging others into his own quicksand.

Dont believe everything on social media champ.

Even I’ve receive a letter from Carlton asking to be put in the will and to purchase a bespoke Carlton coffin with Marc Murphy’s face etched into the side

I thought they were sending the letters looking for some fresh new recruits to regenerate the list with some equivalent life experience to their senior brigade of Pendles and co. Maybe one of the old timers is also half decent at basketball too

Pretty ordinary whoever does it. Just having an option on the website for those who go looking for it is enough.

First thought: Pretty ordinary stuff

Second thought: Well, why wouldn't they try? Testing the waters is fine.

Third thought: Are people only outraged because its the 2020s and everything offends everyone?

Like most things you can simply take a breath and move on.

There are some things to be outraged by like the dodgy price gouging supermarkets and then there are things like this - if someone wants to leave a portion of their estate to a footy club its no different to donating to museum or school.

Imagine giving a club $1,000+ a year through multiple memberships, merch, ect, ect, THEN they have to balls to say hey...how's about you kick a little extra into that pot when you f*cking DIE!

I'm sure most of the other clubs do that, especially if this is one of the richer clubs doing it..absolutely shameless. Never forget we're all just a wallet to these people.

Think Pendles got a letter too

Think again
