You guys screwed over a player last year because you couldn't afford him.
Cute story bro. Why dont you worry about your rabble before telling me what our salary cap looks like. I have listen to our Coach, CEO, and President all explain our state of affairs, have you?

Or was it the journos that make shit up to get clicks?

It’s not a “cute story” it’s the truth, your club completely screwed over someone because you had run out of cash, and if that wasn’t the reason then you’ve screwed over someone for nothing which is even worse

Collingwood still need a full rebuild seasons end.
Let’s see where Collingwood are end of year.
Falling over the line against StKilda at home is not the end of it.
Fortunately this is your opinion and as proven on many, many occasions, that really doesn't mean much.

You stating we need a rebuild makes me feel more confident in our approach, as you have little to no clue about much.
As you are such a troll, an actual meaningful contribution from you is unlikely.
Missing two of our best defenders and still beating the supposedly "big improver" in St Kilda, will do me.

Back onto the thread point though.

St Kilda have improved, they have many of the pieces they need, I think they lack belief.
They lack composure in the big moments and until they get better in this space, they will continue to be mediocre.
St Kilda's biggest room for improvement right now is between the ears.

Count_Zero doing his bit defending the Saints, where are all the other Sainters?

Too scared to say anything I guess, writing is on the wall. Hot new recruits rubbish. List Manager crap, Ross Boss' gameplan outdated, Nas overrated.

Very sad times for poor old St Kilda

How will the game go on Sun? Your prediction? Never mind, I have just read your post on the game thread.

You realise its a business and not "lets all braid each other hair", any other team would have been praised for not giving into GWS demands but because we are the Saints, its the end of the world and every troll and his lackeys jump on and have a go.
Do youself a favour and maybe worry about your club and the loss they had on the weekend, Bulldogs back 6 arent that great and didnt you pay 900k for a forward who got one cheap goal and nothing else.

900k is not 1.7million, imagine trying to hang shit on the back to back premiers 7 finals series in a row because we lost by under a goal in what was one of the best home and away games for awhile

I can’t ever recall a situation like aleers, you club screwed him Over and you’re acting like it’s some sort of badge of honor

Yeah a 35 year old and apparently you don’t need a rebuild.

StKilda King Clarke Stocker Henry Howard

8 players younger than Collingwoods youngest.

I reckon they've got plenty of talent, Ross just hasn't changed his gameplan since he last coached the Saints.

Very overrated coach. Need to put him out to pasture in some admin role to save face and bring in someone who actually knows what they're doing if they don't want to waste the work they did last offseason to secure NWM and the brought in players.

Brisbane supporters shouldn’t be involved in list management discussions.
Go argue with GC GWS or Sydney.

Hard to tell much from that game, it was chaotic and hotly contested, we left a lot of points out there and on another day could have won the game.

I think it's worth having a larger sample before saying much. Our issue seems to be front half connection, if we continue to struggle in that area I can see us losing to the Dees and the season starts to look concerning. On the other hand if we sort it out we could become a very good side a lot faster than many think.

The recruits were actually all pretty good, no issues there I don't think. The money they are getting doesn't really matter now. TDK has clearly improved us, silvagni was good and Flanders and Ryan grew into the game.

Interesting game this weekend. I expect the Dees to be better than most are giving them credit for and I'll take any win as a positive.

People are jumping the gun a bit. Last year's 12th placed team lost to the prelim finalists by 2 goals. Hardly the end of the world

You keep coming back to the idea we paid TDK 1.7m but have no facts to back that up.
Like a dog with a bone, but Im not gonna play this stupid game with you anymore because you dont want facts, just to hang shit.

Gonna hit ignore just like i did with your buddy.

ok how much is he getting paid??? considering it was written on the afl.com.au website I would think its pretty accurate or there abouts

Putting aside the draft capital/salary paid for Flanders, always though it was a touch premature that he was just pencilled in to be a 70-80% centre bounce midfielder when he had never really played that position at the Suns outside of a month or so in 2024?

On reflection the Saints were ok, but given their level of domination in certain areas of play, incredibly disappointing they didn't win. They were a young side but youth and inexperience is only an alibi for so much and plenty of older heads on the field. Still, they showed signs of being a finals quality side, and they have plenty of depth and competition for spots in the VFL.

Still missing King or a bloke up forward to be a reference point when players are tired or pressured and just dump kick it a hot spot.

Having said all of that, if they'd kicked accurately they win the game so maybe we should all take a beat and see how they this week.

Maxed out the credit card saints.
Chips in but feeling of another false dawn.
To much reliance on a few thats all.
Catch 22.
Thinking they need to move Ross on at years end.
Tipping another rebuild incoming either in 2027 and or 2028.
Just cant seem to get with their lists.
Got them improving a faction.
Going to get found out alot in 2026.
Oh well, I guess it gives individuals like you something to crap on about!

Oh no we have a 35yo defender
We also have a 38yo player who was better than your whole side.
I am not sure about the players you listed.
Are they injured, emergencies, or delisted? I am unsure because they really dont jump off the page as game changers.

If you are relying on the players you mentioned to take St Kilda to their second flag, you may want to look into being cryogenically frozen, as you have a loooong wait in front of you.

Haha, rabble of a club!

You enjoy your 60 year premiership celebration bro! Oohh sorry, you didn't because you were beaten by a rabble!

St Kilda completely shafted that kid (genuinely don't know his name), he was in tears leaving GWS because St Kilda offered him a contract. Then St Kilda pay 2 million for a player already on their books. Obviously that changes the circumstances with their salary cap. Then St Kilda pull the contract offer! I will believe the story that was so obvious for all to see except St Kilda supporters.
The story, just as you said it was a story made up by journos looking for clicks and you fell right for it.

The guy (Leek Aleer) who was in tears because he was leaving GWS needed GWS to come to the party and they were asking for too much but hey keep on clicking.

Not GWS responsiblity to lower what they were asking for but cant hold a club responsible when the price is too high.
Bad luck for Aleer but it all worked out for him in the end.

As for being a rabble, your president thinks Diacos wont leave for money because hes apart of a Pies family, wasnt Ablett apart of a Cats family as well. Keep digging your head in the sand. Losing all of Pendles, Diacos, Sidebottom, Howe, Crisp, and Elliot next year will keep you firmly entrenched in the top 8

I reckon that's right. Saints couldn't discern the difference between Fast and Panic. The aim will be to build the composure Collingwood showed on Sunday and in successful seasons previously. A good lesson if we can take it onboard.
