Yeah nah you're just straight up objectively incorrect on this one.

I wanted a win, not an 'honourable loss'.

But you know what? After the last 4 or 5 years of bullshit, I'm not totally despondent after that game.

We played crap and had some absolute passengers today (like Powell, Darling, and Zurhaar), while young guys we know can have an impact just had really quiet games (Trembath, Duursma etc).

By far the biggest issue for Clarko to somehow resolve is the inexcusable poor effort of too many players in defensive transition. Powell, Wardlaw, McKercher, and LDU all especially bad in this regard today. It was especially noticeable when Spargo sprinted the length of the ground and ran past multiple team-mates in doing so.

In summary...

• Umpiring awful. Some absolutely criminal no-calls at the end. That Darling non-HTB in front of goal with 40 seconds to go is inexcusable. The ARC wrong review? Clarko, fire up. Blast the umpires. Pay the fine.
• State of the game in general awful.
• All 3 KPDs got beaten to varying degrees today.
• Powell needs to be dropped.
• Corr needs to be dropped.
• Trembath needs to spend more time in the ruck if he's not getting his hands on it as a forward

Trembath was robbed of competing today.

If the umpires are happy to let defenders shove him to negate his leap, then Clarko needs to get on the front foot and call it out.

If that was being done to Hogan, then the umpires would have been gagging to pay him a free.

Call it out Clarko, because that’s not how footy should be played.

Total corruption to turn a blind eye to a cheating tactic.

And darling at the end should’ve had a set shot at goal for holding the ball

At worst should’ve been a draw or 5 point win our way

Not to mention Trembath just on half time and another equally as obvious that wasn’t paid, plus several missed 50s for protected zone infringements when they got one earlier in the game.

Seriously, the on field umpires get more wrong than right. They are bloody hopeless (assuming that’s all there is to it).

A reality check, but you gotta love the fight. No North team since 2015 keeps coming like that. We have competition for spots so make some changes.

There were plenty of missed chances but it felt like every time we needed a goal we missed a set shot. Darling missed three out of four and would usually do the opposite. Obviously more to a game but that nothing miss by Powell to extend the lead to over four goals early was telling.

Yeah that was huge in the end. Could usually depend on Powell’s goal kicking. He was awful today and should be dropped, I’ve been nowhere near as down on him as some but needs to find touch in the 2s.

I liked how they gifted GWS the softest early goal of the game when Finn ran about as far from the mark as you can - then proceeded to ignore it the other way on multiple occasions including not less than 2min later. There were so many two handed handballs before the ball got picked up I thought they were playing rugby.

Said it before. 4 field umpires is a recipe for incompetence. Egos, and wanting to be relevant has created this umpiring s...show. it's destroying the integrity of the game.
