The incident
Judged Careless, high impact high contact, two weeks. Interesting that it can be judged high impact but Adelaide medicos didn't need to assess the player.
Swans already confirmed to be challenging the decision, assumedly on the severity of the impact.
Out of contract at the end of the year.
A high flying mercurial forward, who might attract some interest from both WA clubs.
Seems happy at the Adelaide, but the Crows have some forward depth and with the Improvement of players like Pedler, Rochelle, Keays etc in the forward line he may feel he...
...Former AFL star Gilbert McAdam is reportedly being investigated over an alleged assault.
The Herald Sun is reporting the 53-year-old was arrested after a woman was allegedly assaulted at a St Kilda home around 10:15PM.
McAdam is reportedly yet to be charged by police, but authorities...
...two.
Assuming both are fit/have the same pre-season and we assume only one will play. Who do you think that we should play first. Stengle or McAdam. Wondering what their strengths/weaknesses are for both? I have seen a few SANFL games and watched them both. But I ain't the best judge, and...
Looks a good prospect. Has the attributes that can translate into AFL and is exactly what Pyke wants....speed. Quickest in his draft year and has the same spring as Nic Nat.
A healthy preseason in a professional environment and he could be anything!
Welcome to the club Shane.

Set to ask for a trade.
Not sure he has much room to move given it’s only 12 months since he signed.

How many times has this been done in VFL/AFL history, does anybody know?
Can anybody see this happening again in the near future?
The 1993 season was probably my all time fave, with this year going down a similar road (minus north of course).
Apologies if this thread has been used before!
McAdam then began to concentrate on cricket and in 2003 represented the Northern Territory Chief Minister's XI, captained by Michael Clarke, in a three day match against the touring Bangladeshis. McAdam, who was a fast bowler, claimed the wickets of Habibul Bashar, Mohammad Ashraful and Javed Omar.
Gilbert McAdam is great on the show… he is so funny, even when he doesn’t mean to be funny (he still is). Also, I think the Marngrook Footy Show is the best footy-show on at the moment.
Love the people on the show, and the footy flash-backs…
Who else thinks its a great show?
Adrian Mcadam:
In 1993 he joined the North Melbourne forward line and kicked 7 goals on his debut. His goal tally was the most ever by a North Melbourne player on debut and he followed it up with 10 goals against Sydney the following week and then 6 goals against Footscray. This gave him a...
Just noticed hes training with Port Adelaide. Currently playing in the SANFL for North Adelaide, was wondering if hes worth having a look at in the National or PSD. Not sure if hes related to Adrian but if hes anything like him would be worth a shot
...effort that led us all to believe he would kick ton after ton. Then 2 years down the track he's had enough and all but forgotten. And remember Mcadam, he kicked 23 goals in his first 3 games! thats right his FIRST THREE! 20 games later and we wont see him again!
So to all the fans I put it...
Kangaroos fans, what happened to Adrian McAdam? kicked 68 goals in the 1993 season and was sensational and did okay in the seasons after but played his last game in 1995. What happened?
Adrian McAdam: The possible dream

Jon Anderson
ADRIAN McAdam knows it could have all been so different, a premiership medallion replacing memories of a badly broken jaw that effectively ended his AFL career.

...confined to the history books, my question is this:
Which players contribution would you rather in your team this year, would you prefer McAdams 68 goal season of 1993 or Burgoynes flashy (20.2 possessions a game) midfielder season of 2006?
Personally I would go for Adrian McAdam as a...
...old footy cards a friend had given me and i found one of a North player who in 1993 kikced something like 69 goals in 19 games in his first year!!! His name was Adrian McAdam.. Anyuone remember him? What happened to him?
Goodluck for the rest of the year, unlucky to miss out against the...

Adrian McAdam vs Allen Jakovich
Whether it be injury, form or lack of commitment/discipline these 2 would-be superstars burst onto the scence but were gone before truely establishing themselves as legit stars.
Who was the bigger waste of great talent ?
Great article on McAdam - who could forget those 10 goals at Victoria Park against Collingwood - one of my favourite games ever!
