Mrs M and I have given up on the eldest. She's Swans so the boy goes for "Every team except the Swans and Roos". This year he's picked up how much I detest *Essendon, so he picks them whenever they're on the telly. At least I got to rub his face it in last week, the little shit.

My second is great though, she knows all the words to Join in the Chorus, and I'm sure to toss her a coin or chocolate every time she belts it out. She can't sit through a whole game, but she's heartbroken when we lose and joyous when we win.

Mrs M now claims that the littlest has to be a Swan, but we'll see how that pans out. He's got a vocabulary of about 3 words, yet can sing gangam style at the drop of a hat so I might get him to do the performing monkey trick with the north song too.

This is incomprehensible to me.

It's North or a life without shelter, food and water.

My son, aged 8, and I travelled from North Queensland to see the game against the Bulldogs. To see him rise to his feet, cheering for each goal and then to have him get stuck into me if I didn't rise to my feet for each goal was just brilliant!

But the best was when he spontaneously screamed "Baaaaall" and sure enough, the umpire awarded a free kick against the Dogs for holding the ball. I couldn't have been more proud!

And to see Majak kick 6 ... my son has Swallow's number on his jumper but declared on the way home that he still loves Swallow ... but wants 38 on his next jumper.

I"m fine with that.

When my kids have strayed or lost interest in following north Melbourne, i always come back at them that i will buy them a bummers membership.
Quite a few members of my family go for the bummers, so it's bit of a war.
That sends them into a rage of hatred and say please take me to the footy to watch the mighty Kangas .

Great story, we all have to do want we can to build our club membership, target 50,000.

The racist issue is about everybody, everybody can be offended by a racist comment, even directed at a third party hence the Collingwood supporters reporting there own last year. Daisy Thomas was offended by comments as well and reported a guy at a game.
The AFL is calling on people themselves to report people and help stamp it out at the footy.
