Thought he was incredible today. His upside could be pretty special in terms of a 2 way player with a lot of tricks. Its a shame that he got run down in that one play but he didn't drop his head even slightly and just plugged on after that.
just on this,

are we bereft of "highlights" that a trip is not applied as that is what my first thought was

they'll rarely pay those as a trip because it's difficult not to do that in the motion.

yeah, watching a replay, Kako did get a handball which is obviously what the ump was looking for as I thought he did pay a HTB. It was just a blatant turnover

Unless your name is Dustin Fletcher. He got pinged every time.

One of the more underrated things about Kako is how hard he is to tackle. Not even in the classic "small guy is hard to catch" way, but he legitimately breaks a lot of tackles when hands are on him.

He set the tone in that third quarter and was a big reason we won.
yep, it’s like you have to grab his ankles and trip him to stop his run, which obviously is not allowed

Fantastic game. He was magnificent.

Not a lot of the media commentators are talking much about him, but his game was crucial in the win. He was everywhere in the second half, and he was clean, he broke tackles, made smart decisions, just everything you want to see in a guy that size.

Hopefully we see him breakout completely this year.

this guy's game has flown under the radar a bit because of the (Deserved) Roberts/Caddy love-in from the media.
Easily his best game to date and loved the insight he gave to The Age re the Kozzie run-down post game "Scotty told me before the game 'if you dont get caught you are not trying hard enough".
I think Scott has rightly and wrongly copped alot of stick this year but thats really refreshing to hear. He is still encouraging young guys to back themselves and not go into their shells despite the poor start to the year. The more players we have in the 23 that are willing to absorb the tackle the better.
