this guy looks an absolute ripper, wtf were norf thinking
agree, comes across as infectious in terms of enthusiasm and desire

usually, I place little on communications but his body language is very up and bubbly for a thirst to succeed

I would start with some wild experiments.

Smillie CHB, Trainor next to him on a half back flank and see how that goes. Smillie suggested not as dominant in aerial contests but Trainor could assist in that regard and help Smillie get released

do this in the reserves for starters, see what happens.

The other thing is if Trainor is loose in defence, but not total key defender, it would allow Balta to be more threatening drifting up the ground and potentially a bigger goal threat with Balta's long kicking

Listening to a Pod Luke was on, grew up a Kangas fan and loved Jack Ziebel, would be in his element having Jack be one of his coaches now!
Yep a kangas fan but Jack Riewoldt told him he’s in the big league now!
Though I’m sure he’d still be excited working with Ziebel.

Bloke will be star struck. Barrack for that shit heap and your idol is Jack Seagull lmao

Still stand by he could be the steal of the draft!

Great agility, nice kick and courageous to a fault

Really like this pick. I agree I think the concussion issue has been overblown. Going to be that great third tall down back

Courageous to a fault? Wearing the number 30 . Wasn’t that St Francis?…. Similarly courageous?

Saw a bit of footage running back with the flight it was pretty cool

question about Trainor is how did the concussions take place, forward or back and get it be avoided to a degree with different roles?
I remember seeing footage of 2 of them and they were both just very unlucky. One being an accidental elbow in a big marking contest with multiple players. Not atypical for a defender of at all.

Impossible to say whether he is susceptible to concussion and that would be the concern if he was, but you just gotta trust the club to look after him. From my point of view he has just been very unlucky and I have heard similar from people who know more than me.

Could be an option to start on a wing to protect him in the start of his career.

As someone who saw Doug Wade go about, I'm waiting for the Round 6 debut off the bench for Lynch who retires hurt.

Chucked fwd the rest of the year, kicks a ton.

Get the Tom Green type grandson super star.

its overdue.
Dougey kicked torpedo punts for goal...hope the young fella re-introduces the Torpedo Punt kick for goal!
Need some pizz zazz in the game now It's become so vanilla...long overdue...

Luke Trainor will be an Immortal in the AFL Hall of Fame before his career even finishes. He is the combination of Alex Rance Stephen Silvagni and Matthew Scarlett.

196cm now according to his Sandy coach. Reckons he could end up a midfielder or wingman

If you put Rance, Silvagni & Scarlett into one player you just get a shitter version of Rance.

I heard experts reckon he will be the backman's equivalent of Doug Wade when his career ends.
