Callan Ward
1.Melbourne
Jack Trengrove 185cm 82kg
The top 2 are set in stone, and Trengrove will be able to live up to the number 1 pick hype in his first year.
Considerations:Tom Scully, Melbourne will get both anyway.

2.Melbourne
Tom Scully 182cm 74kg
Either 1 or 2, but will struggle to break a tag more then trengrove. I predict he will be better then trengrove.
Considerations: None, Scully or bust.

3.Richmond
Dustin Martin 187cm 86kg
Tough, hard at it mid, who will develop perfectly with other Richmond mid's like Deledio and Cotchin. Richmond's midfield is starting to look dangerous.
Considerations: Ben Cunnington, would add to their midfield as well, not as much as Martin though. Also, could take Morabito just to piss Fremantle off. Knowing Richmond they may even take a "smoky".

4.Fremantle
Anthony Morabito 190cm 90kg
Exact duplicate of Adam Goodes, and will provide support in Fremantle's poor forward line, or midfield. Would compliment the young mid's of Palmer, Hill etc. and develop into a 250 game player.
Considerations: None, Morabito will be taken.

5.North Melbourne
Ben Cunnington 186cm 84kg
Likened to Adam Simpson, very good overhead, can push forward, and has a serious case of leather poisoning. Possible future captain.
Considerations: Rohan, as North need another option up forward, and Rohan provides that perfect X-Factor.

6.Sydney
Glen Rohan 196cm 79kg
Whilst not fully developed, the firey ranga can ignite the field, and provides X-Factor up forward for the swans, to fill the hole Miky-O left.
Considerations: Cunnington if North opt for Rohan, but unlikely. Koby Stevens could be a suited replacement for a Bolton type player.

7.West Coast
John Butcher 197cm 84kg
Most believe the Eagles will pass on the big fella, who was once a top three rated player, but with Butcher the Eagles have a very dangerous forward line in Kennedy, Butcher, Mckinley and LeCras. Will consider on the day.
Considerations: Jetta, local boy and would allow LeCras to push up the ground. Many believe they will pick him.

8.Port Adelaide
Jake Melsham 182cm 69kg
Looks to be a certain Port Power player, unless a previous team requires a speedy midfielder. Very skinny, but will be right.
Considerations: Black, Moore or Lucas

9.Port Adelaide
Aaron Black 193cm 78kg
With Butcher gone, Port need to pick the next best Key Forward to replace the aging Warren Tredrea. Has shot up the draft rankings after an excellent season in the WAFL.
Considerations: Talia, Moore.

10.Essendon
Kane Lucas 188cm 79kg
Adds class to the Bombers midfield, and is highly skilled and evasive, something they lack in the middle.
Considerations: Daniel Talia would be a terriffic partner to Hurley, as both can play at either ends of the ground, and would be a nightmare for opposition coaches.

11.Melbourne
Jake Carlisle 196cm 83kg
West Coast taking Butcher means Port take Black, which means The Dee's need to take the next best forward in Carlisle. I believe he will shoot up the ranks on draft day, much like Ryan Schoenmakers did, and can play a similar role in 2010.
Considerations: Talia, but i see him as more defence then forward, and Melbournes defence is already solid.

12.Carlton
Daniel Talia 194cm 89kg
Carlton supporters will be rapt that they got the guy they were hoping for with pick 11. Can play CHB, allowing Waite to become a key forward, and develop Henderson. Exciting prospect with teriffic disposal, and Carlton will have won Mclean, Talia, Henderson and a brighter future for the cost of Fev.
Considerations: Unless Butcher is here, none.

13.Adelaide
Koby Stevens 187cm 83kg
Next best available player, as Adelaide are in no desperate need of anything. Good disposal who cna get his own ball. Good prospect.
Considerations: Jetta would add another dimension to their forward line.

14.Sydney
Andrew Moore 188cm 91kg
Younger brother of Kelvin, likened to Andy Otten and Ryan O'Keefe. Can play anywhere on the ground and is a very handy utility player.
Considerations: Contorversial, but none.

15.Western Bulldogs
Lewis Jetta 178cm 72kg
Bulldogs are in desperate need of a small forward to replace the evergreen veterans of Akermanis and Johnson, and this surprising large slider will proivde alot of X-Factor up forward, along with Higgins and Josh Hill.
Considerations: Brad Sheppard

16.Port Adelaide
Brad Sheppard 186cm 78kg
Quick, good disposal and very consistent. Will work well with Melsham, Hartlett, Boak and Salopek. All of a sudden, Port's midfield looks alright when you chuck in Cornes and Cassisi.
Considerations: Nathan Vardy

17.Geelong
Luke Tapscott
Couldnt choose between Vardy and Tapscott here, but as Tapscott is a ready made midfielder, he should slip onto a half forward flank straight away in 2010. Very well built, body like Bam Bam Rich.
Considerations: Nathan Vardy, with the loss of Shane Mumford, the aging of Brad Ottens, and the uselessness of Mark Blake, Vard's was ALMOST picked here. But if Geelong are to have one more shot at the flag in '10, theyll need a rdy made player.

Appologies Vader, fixed that.

Ill do the second round hopefully later on, as the draft gets a bit thinner and ill have to do a little research.

GARY Rohan is 188 cm tall !!!!!

Glen Rohan. Isn't that where Ned Kelly comes from?
