Get real, im sick of the constant

BIT OF PERSPECTIVE / WE FINISHED 15th LAST YEAR.

Everyone its this year not last year, we came out and won 8 or 9 in a row. Nothing brilliant in those wins just long direct football. We ran for each other kicked long out of the centre to the forward line and tackled hard. I mean some of the hardest tackling i have seen for years. We applied pressure, how? by moveing the ball so quickly out of the centre and down the wings. Our game now seems the old style watch a tape of the first 8 or 9 games and you can see a huge difference.

2 things for **** sake we need another ruckman please if you trade anyone trade them for another ruckman to help Fraser and finally drop pebles and taz. What the hell drop them both for one week and see what happens. It will either be a good move or a disaster if its a disaster at least it will shut up the ones who are bagging Taz.

We had a golden opportunity to cement a top four postion, and we blew it with a ***** poor performance. We have capability of being a bl**dy good side, provided all 22 players put in and play well.

The time is NOW for Collingwood to win the flag, we are not going to win a premiership in three, four years time, we simply do not have the list to do so. Buckley has two years at best left in him, Burns one, Wakelin none or one. Our core of good senior players are coming towards the tail end of their careers. Rocca is not going to get any fitter or agile and Taz might not be with us in two years time.

EVERYONE HAS TO GET OVER THE FACT THAT WE FINISHED 15TH LAST YR!!
WOOP DI DOO!! Either thats an excuse and we have FLUKED being in the top 8 this year or last year was so poor it was due to injuries and this year is a NEW ONE.
I think everyone should stop using excuses of where we finished last year and realise we are not performing up to the standards that the fans were promised. I still remember R Shaw saying that Taz can have a 100 goal + season......................
Dont give the fans false hopes, either we are going to perform, or we are not. END OF STORY.

The young Bulldogs finish out of the finals last year but where the darlings of the competition, their fans and the media and public in general were saying they are big improvers and will be good next year and if not are building to something for the next few years.

A youthful Collingwood are currently 6th in the ladder, showing some blistering form and are capable. They look pretty certain to finish in the finals. At least 7 places higher then last year. Are they big improvers, are we the supporters, they the media looking forward to the next few years to see if Collingwood can build on this solid year? No! There is no in between with Collingwood. And that is a double edged sword. It is great we are so passionate and wanting success (compared to the other clubs who are happy to finish in the finals and hope to improve next year). But sometimes we need some patience. A premiership doesn't take one year, it takes many. It took Melbourne a long time before they rocovered from 2000 GF appearence. It took Brisbane a few years before they were a force. Port Adelaide choked and choked and choked until they did it. Sydney were making up the numbers in the finals for a few years before they did it.
