#17 "Frodo" Ballantyne

Hayden Ballantyne is the Perfect player to draft after losing the Quality of Jeff farmer. He looked so Dangerous every time the ball came down there. He is One to keep for the next ten years. Now all freo need to draft are two key players: one in defence and one a marking target and if we finish with a priority pick a Jack Fitzpatrick or a John Butcher look to be the best young Forwards. Wouldn't mind picking up brandon matera either.

Great to see him get some footy on the HF, while I understand he is a great mark the last thing we want is another Philthy Matera.

He was done by Harry O for speed and our usual delivery left the ball sitting on his head (ready to destroy by Harry).

He was much better this week, although I only saw the second half. Now to get someone good enough to mark or make a contest!

Shouldn't this be in the Freo Player Watch section? I really hope we don't start calling him "Porpoi", Frodo or nothing, he is own player (not to mention the fact he will be twice the player Porplyzia is).

a porpoi is a really small seal. i didnt unserstand what he was calling him until that Leigh colbert called him a mink which is another seal thing. He might not be the fittest but a gun and we will get heaps ofs goals out of him

The problem is once these idiots come up with a name, they stick to it endlessly, "Q-Stick" case in point (shits me to tears), I'm hoping the same doesn't happen here.

I thought the commentators were very condascending to Freo on the weekend. I only watched from half time onward but they were so pro Carlton and when you take into account Freos injured outs, plus Sandilands playing injured and the number of kids playing (who dont have the tank for 4 qtrs) I think Carlton werent that crash hot.

I criticised the drafting of Ballantyne but now he looks exactly what you need, someone who will wreak havoc up forward. If you guys can get a couple of decent marking players up forward who can crash packs, the future looks bright.

Is he particularly strong for his size? More compact people tnd to be rather strong.

What about something simple like Ballas. i have to admit i know they are calling him baby porplyzia but if they weren't Porpoi would be a cool nic name.

Well maybe I was exaggerating but I see him as having all the qualities as Porps yet way, way faster.
