Previous worst was 135 pts lost to WCE [EDIT]in 1995[/EDIT] - tonight's effort is our second largest conceded score.

Record conceded is still Geelong @ KP in 1992 - 32. 18 (210).

Ah yes, those Victorian road trips in the Cornes/Shaw era.

Didn't realised we'd conceded 200+ before. That was a pretty good Geelong side back then.

I am disgusted that was 'deporable':( Nobody was accountable, disposal was shocking and Craig hasnt got a clue and now has done himself out of the top job. I said that we would might kick eight goals for the game and we couldnt even do that:( We are 'massive losers':(

I hope Fitzy didnt go and watch that crap.

I have always said that the "traditional" free flowing SANFL gamestyle just does not cut it in todays AFL football.
Studied the style the first week, and quickly countered.

Make no mistake, it wasn't the kids tonight, it was in the midfield where Brisbanes fab5 destroyed us. And its in the midfield where we had our best players?????

Just bloody outcoached

Forget the inexperience, no team should be beaten by that amount, and certainly not a proud club like AFC.

Is this how our juniors get experience and develope - not bloody likely, no value in getting thrashed like that.

So is Craig the answer:confused:

I didn't. Turned on to watch the movie on Channel 9.

and to think we were ahead at one stage in the first quarter. :(

I have to admit I was flicking the channels between JAG and the game. ;) Although that wasn't in the last quarter!

2.0 to 1.3 if I recall correctly? I was cheering at that stage, as it was bound to be short lived.

Seems to happen every time we go up there. We start of all right...just goes downhill from there.

Whoever thinks Watts is ready for AFL is an idiot in my books.

Too much of a young, unexperianced forward line. I was actually calling out for a Perrie recall. At least he is built for the forward lines.

Have to agree, there is no developmental value at present.
He is completely out of his depth.

No upper body strenght for his type of game, and too lumbering and slow at this point.

2 really bad performances would not have done his confidence any good - time to go back to WWT

Geez, I was almost calling out for Burns too! All we have down there is Welsh and M Stevens, and half the time there's something wrong with them. Mark Stevens doesn't have the body for recovery anymore, and I'm sorry to say, but should retire because he is no use for us. (And before anyone says anything how many games has he played for us lately? 2? 3? In a season with 22 games avaliable, not counting finals, where's his worth?)

Chuck him in the Carey pile. :o

I would be surprised if he goes around again.
Why do a PS when he's played hardly any games in 2 years.
He'll probably be thinking next season could end up the same as this one.

Further on,

Without delisting/retiring Welsh, even though his injuries make me want to get rid of him, is there another real tier goal kicker down there?

Let's see Johncock, young. Jericho, Hentschel**, Watts, babies. Reilly, Bode, Doughty, too inexperianced in the position and haven't peformed. Carey, gone...so who's left? Perrie, proved without Carey he could stand up and be a focal point for the forward lines, either that or get more attention away from other goalkickers. I'm not one to back Perrie, but enough is enough, we need a STRONG forward, not this Watts stuff! Mal Micheal was looking a truck to him tonight, and barraged him everytime. Who's the weights instructor? My mum is stronger then Watts! If we don't recruit well, we'll be left in tatters for a longer space of time.

**I think this player better suited to back line anyway.

With Watts thats the problem in playing him now, he's judged.
If he was still in SANFL our expectations would be less. He's 2-3 years away from any sought of decent football - in that time he will add another 10KG and you will see a vastly different player - be patient.

Don't forget we have a lot of experienced players on the sidelines.

So have:

Port Adelaide (Primus, Francou, Wanganeen)
Brisbane (Brown)
West Coast (Gardiner)
Carlton (Koutoufides on and off for long periods)
Collingwood (Rocca, Tarrant)
Essendon (Lucas, Hird)
Hawthorn (Crawford)
St. Kilda (Penny, Hamill)

Injuries are the worst excuse imaginable for our footy club - it's too easy an excuse for failure - like last year when we said the same thing.
