Should of prefaced.

If he continues to play as he did in the reserves.

I have McDonald, Sinclair, and Reid ahead of him, and to be honest I even like MacAndrew more as well.
Oh okay. I've not seen him play, either with us or in his time at Port, hopefully he'll step up.

Horse confirmed he will debut this week

He had an interrupted preseason so they didn't wish to rush him back. Which is why he's been playing in the 2s - making sure he gets enough minutes into his body

He was always a bit overrated by media because he could get big disposal numbers as a ruckman, but his ruckwork is poor, his disposal isn't great and he is just a serviceable presence as a forward. I don't see much difference between him and Sinclair as a player archetype other than he clearly has much more scope for improvement.

May as well consider him a prospect and not someone who can help us right now.

His intent on the hbf was funding ordinary like Parker’s and effort

Played well last
I’m asking all the so called experts here saying he has plenty to work on what exactly he needs to work on after seeing him play one senior game ? There are plenty that have to work on effort after watching that yesterday but as for what individuals need to work on that fits with their role would love to hear from the experts,

The big takeaways I got for his improvement yesterday.

  • Was physicality in the contest (was manhandled at times)
  • Repeat sprints efforts (would make first attempt to tackle but not follow up) (this could be due to his limited pre-season)
  • composure (Usually Ladhams is ok with ball in hand, yesterday this didn't show).

I thought he was reasonably good for his first hit-out at AFL level for the year off a limited pre-season, playing as a first ruck. Didn't have high expectations this week, which probably led me to that conclusion.

We'll get a good look at him regardless over the next couple of months.

I don't know about that mate not many prospects get 27 hit outs. I was at the game yesterday as I'm sure many of you were and thought he was serviceable at least. Granted he has things to work on but hopefully Cox can get another level out of him.
I'd be sure Cox (and probably Hickey too) will help with his ruck skills, especially the frees against Horse referred to in the presser, but I would hope the most immediate improvement will come from him settling down and feeling at home in his role, with his teammates.
We'll know soon enough.

What exactly would you say he needs to work on ?
His urgency for one. Seems to dordle around the ground. Accountability is another , there was one play that led to a north goal because ladhams for some reason was standing 30m away from Goldy. Goldy get the uncontested possessions and hits up a leading target up forward
