Have said it before, we ruined Hopper the second he walked in and they put him on Jenny Craig and tried to turn him into a generic mid instead of a contested beast. He was a monster at GWS, without his strength he's lost his point of difference.

Yeah our club seems shit at understanding each players natural strengths and doubling down. I still think meatpig Ross was better in his first year than now. Juice him up then trade him end of year.

We don’t have a lot to trade , we’ve got a heap of promising kids ( who you are not trading) , 3-4 Premiership players (over 30).
That leaves Taranto ( currently our best player) , Balta and Miller ( we need KPDs) and Hopper .
Personally, I think we’ll have one more big draft and add a couple of FAs 27 onwards.
Guessing Hopper stays.

Not really. Most of our good players missed big chunks of the season. If you play every game in a season smashed with injuries you're a good chance of finishing pretty high.

You're spot on, "he finished third" was sung like a mantra. wouldnt get a vote in any premiership team or a game for that matter.

We got dudded on a 7 year deal. I said it early and years later its still the case.

Horrendous list management. Balta's & Hopper's agents deserve a gold star for the contracts they got their clients. Completely screwed us. Don't know what the club was thinking. Hopper had serious injury concerns before we traded for him, was coming off 12 months off over his knees.
