Correct Shinboner, Roos are wiped out and as a measure of respect to Wayne Carey there is no fifth place. In the first final the Dockers play no-one and lose by eight goals!

Yeah Frodo, Melbourne will be hit by a plague coinciding exactly with the football season, the Eagles will win the premiership over all the other teams, and Banfield is a true champion, no doubt about it. And Morrison was unlucky not to get All-Australian selection.

Don't forget TomFC, that Wirrpunda is a star and does not have to prove it. Kemp won WA's player of the year in what must have been a huge field. Gardiner will be the best ruckman in the AFL by the end of the year. The likes of Allan, Barnes, King, White, Everitt and co should just face the inevitable.

None of the other teams have anywhere near this potential. Eagles to soar in 2001.

I really should be doing homework but what the hell, here's my prediction:

1.HAWTHORN -the much lauded young guns will finally fire after years of expectation.
2.SYDNEY -Unlucky last year, will get over Pluggers retirement and storm into second.
3.GEELONG -I've got good vibes about the Cats, their 2000 performance was no fluke.
4.ESSENDON -Complacency coupled with injury will see the juggernaught stall.
5.RICHMOND -Will be rewarded after Last years brave performance.
6.BRISBANE -Underachievers again.
7.ST KILDA -Will rise under Blight.
8.KANGAROOS -In the eight yet again, but in decline.
9.CARLTON -Added experience to an aging list last year in the hope of snatching a premiership. It will come back to haunt them.
10.BULLDOGS -Wallace can only do so much with the same old players.
11.FREMANTLE -Will probably win as many games as last year, but won't get pumped in the ones they lose - unlike in 2000.
12.MELBOURNE -This club is like a yoyo, will inexplicably underperform.
13.PORT POWER -for a young team they seem to be treading water.
14.COLLINGWOOD -shite again, but not the shitest.
15.ADELAIDE -Ayres will get the boot.
16.WEST COAST -They're my team, but I'm a realist - stone-cold motherless LAST. In the beginnings of a rebuilding phase.

Old Dark, I don't know how many times I have to say that I believe Wirrpunda is a really good player. People just don't seem to get the message.

How can you say that Gardiner will be the best ruckman in the comp at the end of next year? It's pure speculation. I don't think the Eagles have any more potential than most other teams. Every side in the league at the moment has some excellent young players.

Melbourne wants it badly! and we already know what melbourne can do if they only try hard enough. Forget the bombers winning again and being #1...every fairytale has an ending and i think Essendon will still be good but no nearly as good as this year (i reackon they'll be lucky 2 make it to the top 4!)
so my prediction is:
1) melbourne (not just coz they have the ability but also coz they want it so badly! after being so close last year they just wont let it slip through again!)
2)western bulldogs (i am not a doogy fan but they have the potential... they wont make it to the gf coz they cannot beat teams lower then them ... hahaha)
3)Sydney (will have a good go at it and will be a threat)
4)St Kilda (come on give them a break)
5)Essendon (we know they can do it.. but will they?)
6)Richmond (will FINALLY make it.. but only just)
7)W.C. (good recrutes... want some credit)
8)port adelaide (want it... need it... can just do it)

as for the rest of the ledder all i can say is that the roos (which i hate) are going down coz of Carey (who i hate even more)
and Carlton.. well they just lost too much (hamill, silvagni, parkins etc..) and will keep loosing to much throughout next year
