Re: spud_jjj's Round 15 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

Had a mare with 2093. Griffiths(7) coming in for Gumby who was covering Brown hurt the most. Going to hurt overall ranking, probably back outside the top 500 after this. Oh well just have to bounce back again next week.

Re: spud_jjj's Round 15 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

2397 after adjustments. Should crack top 1k again. Gbai ablett C....been shit knowing ya

Re: spud_jjj's Round 15 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

2612 with bloody Nason scoring 15. Surely his injury cost me a crack at the weekly!

you're a serious chance mate. GAJ and Goddard would make up a fair majority of captain selections. GAJ did poorly and Goddard didn't play.... 2612 is a fantastic effort for this week. top 10 imo.

Re: spud_jjj's Round 15 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

2483 with Enright (38) and Nick Nat (50), other then them, most other players scored well, happy with the score I got.

Re: spud_jjj's Round 15 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

Woah, that would still be top 50 IMO. Not a massive scoring round, good luck!!!

Yeah Jack Riewoldt as Captain, thought he could have turned it on even more. 1 person in my league came 12th a few weeks ago, hopefully i can beat that.

Re: spud_jjj's Round 15 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

Ended on 2255.
Happy enough considering Goddard(c) donut, Hodge VC in his place (Oh well...rolled the dice), Pods etc etc.

Re: spud_jjj's Round 15 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

2154, I reckon that won't change my overall position much (just outside the top 10,000). A par score for this week, considering many of the top teams would have Enright, Goddard (with possibly no cover - like me) and Ablett as captain.

Top effort buddy, all the best :thumbsu:

Re: spud_jjj's Round 15 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

i begin by saying im absolutely rapt that my score isnt average or mediocre compared with everyone else for a change.

2431.

had goddard as C, then got hodge.
rok & pods, 5 x 70's, 2 x 80's 2 x 90's, 11 x 100 - ive had more tons before but easily the most consistent scoring.

hopefully no more injuries. 4 trades left.

now for the lead in to the finals.

Re: spud_jjj's Round 15 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

2450. Helps make up for last week when I missed lockout after the split round. Had Chapman on the pine and Kreuzer on the park - cost me about 200 points and about 1000 spots in the rankings.

Re: spud_jjj's Round 15 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

Wish I was mate - sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

You can check by going to the rankings page, click on Round 14 rankings, then change the url in the address bar to 15 from 14. Then click on Points this round to sort.

Re: spud_jjj's Round 15 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

OHHHHH FFS are you bloody serious? How ya find out so early? JAKE KING must DIE for knocking out Nason!!!

Know how you feel mate! I was 5th weekly a couple of weeks back and kept saying "if only.... if only...."

Bit unlucky, but getting 2nd best weekly score is a great achievement overall! :thumbsu:

EDIT: Also, your team will appear in the Herald Sun tomorrow. Cut the clipping out and keep it. I done that. :D

Thanks for the support everyone. I've been consistently hitting the 2500 mark and 2 weeks ago scored 2565 with 2 donuts. There goes my chance of SC immortality

Spud's Round 15 Review

Ok, after a slightly underwhelming round of SuperCoach for BF posters, (well, except hirthy), here's what the stats had to say:

  • Top 10 Ranked Performers
  • Captain's Corner Review
  • Who's In-Form?
  • Disappointments of the Week
  • Highest Registered Team Score
  • Team of the Week

Top 10 Ranked Performers

3603714686_55c9e828b7.jpg

Equal 1st: Adam Goodes - 173
How? - D: 33 (14 contested), K: 20, HB: 13, M: 11, T: 5, Score: 3.2, Centre Clearances: 5, i50: 8

That's more like it Goodsie!! Only his fifth SC ton for the year and still under $400,000. Does this best on ground performance put him back in contention for your SC forward line?

AFL+Rd+1+Fremantle+v+Adelaide+Crows+I0NzBH8Vasgl.jpg

Equal 1st: Adam McPhee - 173
How? - D: 23 (12 contested), K: 17, HB: 6, M: 13 (7 contested), Effective Disposal Percentage: 91.3%

Well, didn't that come out of nowhere...Only his 2nd SC hundred for the year, and not even in the ball park of SC form, with 36, 61, 54 & 27 in his four previous appearances. But don't be alarmed fellow SC'ers, he won't be venturing anywhere near this week's Preview :D

3. Brian Lake - 162
How? - D: 28 (13 contested), K: 17, HB: 11, M: 10 (3 contested), rebound 50: 9 One Percenters: 5, ED: 82.14%

My second biggest regret of the year was not getting 'the-artist-formerly-known-as-Brian-Harris' into my backline before Round 8, where he was priced at the very affordable $452,500. Since then, he's pumped out four scores over 150, averaged 128 and risen $100k.

AFL+Rd+2+Magpies+v+Demons+fcwILPZgCcxl.jpg

4. Brad Green - 161
How? - D: 27 (11 contested), K: 22, HB: 5, M: 9 (4 contested & 5 inside 50m), Score: 5.2, i50: 7, DE: 74%

If Chapman's got one Half Forward Flank spot sewn up in the All Australian Team, then surely this bloke is the front runner for the other one. Never been a massive fan, but you can't deny his SC form, with ten of his fifteen scores this year equaling 90 points or more. Seems to be a bit of a barometer for the Demons too, when they win, he averages eight marks, just under three goals and twenty-three disposals per game.

5. Jimmy Bartel - 156
How? - D: 26 (16 contested), K: 17, HB: 9, M: 8 (3 contested), Tackles: 8, Centre Clearances: 4, i50: 4, One %ers: 6

Did you know, the Gentleman Jim Bartel averages 110 SC points per game since the start of 2005!?!?! Crazy huh? There's not a lot more I can say about him than we don't already know. Has perhaps been forgotten a little this year behind Ablett, Chapman, Selwood and jPod, but just an absolute SuperCoach gun. Over half of his scores have been 110+ for 2010.

and to round out the top 10:

6. Rodan - 146 - D: 26 (17 contested, #1 for the round), K: 16, HB: 10, T: 8, Score: 3.0, Centre Clearances: 9
7. Selwood - 144 - D:30 (contested), K: 11, HB: 19, T: 7, Centre Clearances: 6, i50: 7, DE: 90%
8. Franklin - 141 - D: 22 (15 contested), K: 11, HB: 11, M: 7 (3 contested & 5 i50), T: 6, Score: 3.3
Eq 9. Judd - 140 - D: 27 (10 contested), K: 16, HB: 11, M: 5, T: 4, Score: 2.2, DE: 81.48%
Eq 9. Boyd - 140 - D: 33 (11 contested), K: 25, HB: 8, M: 8, T: 5, Centre Clearances: 8, i50: 7, 1%ers: 6, DE: 72.7%

Captain's Corner Review

With each review, I'll take a look at the captians I nominated in the Preview for the round, and see how well they performed. Looking at this week's performances, I'd probably take three of the five mentioned below, along with Deledio's 123.

Ablett - 79
Judd - 140
Sandilands - 128
Dal Santo - 107
Swan - 127
