I haven't put much on them, but I've backed the Hawks at home a few times recently and they've let me down big time, so maybe a bit of revenge in this bet.

Talent wise, I still think the Eagles have the edge here, by a decent margin, but the Hawks at home prior to the last month or so have been tough.

No he isnt. What do you think he was supposed to be doing in 2009? He had double trouble in the backfield but still managed to commit a boatload of TOs. I wouldn't want him doing anything other than handing off to Foster, and even then, putting Foster and Tate in the backfield together and snapping it directly to one of them might still be better

Looked up his stats to show you he wasn't that bad......oh dear worse than i thought.

Last 13 starts (11 w/Car , 2 w/Cleve)
10 TD , 25 int , 9 fumbles

I know stats aren't everything but ouch. Suppose the only good thing is that nearly hald those ints were from just 3 games.

Hopefully Yates has had a chance to learn a bit more this week because we looked very average 2nd half against injury depleted Jags' D.

That was actually a good throw by Young under pressure.

Shit for him though that Riley Cooper dropped it right into a defender who returned it 55 yards. But it was still a good throw.

Just wondering where you'd put this Eagles team down for pre-season hype.

I'd say the most hyped team since the 08 Patriots, if not that, surely before my time following the league (2006)

It happens every year and usually involves one of the big market East Coast teams (or Dallas). It's got more to do with the press rather than anything else. The Jets are regularly hyped during the pre-season, as well as the Patriots and I think its got a lot to do with the press focussing on individuals rather than the team as a whole. The press regularly ignore the fact that teams with a high turnover of staff regularly disappoint.
