Chris25 now has Stringer! at pick 3, Vlastuin at 7, Macrae to us.

The draft is about 5 weeks away, when do Snoop and foj1 etc get their threads going?
Wow the drafts certainly have been getting shake ups in the last few weeks

Knightmare has Stringer at #15

This just goes to show we'll never know whats going to happen till draft day

And even then, things dont always go as planned...

Well, if we look at it without the pretense of knowing that Stringer broke his leg, you'd see someone who plays forward and mid, picks up 20+ possessions regularily, has kicked a bag of ten and slotted right in to a VFL side. No reason why he can't go ridiculously high in the draft.

Recall a lot of love for Jackson Trengove who tore his hamstring off the bone and suffered minor nerve damage after the surgeons bruised a nerve.

I ripped my hamstring off the fibula down near my knee and when the surgeons put that back on, they bruised or nicked a nerve,” Trengove said.

“My hamstring was fine, but I couldn’t move my foot. I went and had another operation and the surgeons were worried the nerve was going to be cut and if it had been cut, I was never going to play again.

“Thankfully, it was just bruised.”

“I had to wear a leg brace to hold my foot in place for eight weeks and I was still running around with that on,” Trengove said.

“I couldn’t feel my foot, but I was still trying to kick the footy.”

Trengove went to Port with pick 22.

Tired of hearing about Stringer like he's the only player for Carlton. 2012's Talia with all the hype. I'll be more relieve if we pass like we passed on Trengove who wasn't high on our radar four years ago. The risk appears to be too great if we pick him at 11 and get it wrong. Stringer could be a good value pick if he falls to a club with a later pick.

For so long I had Liam McBean of Calder mixed up with Jake McBean from the Northern Blues. It all makes sense now :) Liam will be thereabouts with our second pick. I also like the sounds of the Heavyside kid KM has is taking at 52. Beat Wines and Kerridge in junior awards but been hampered by injuries of late. Is ironically not that heavy either.

Sounds interesting... and inside mid with a good outside. If he is around still at our third round pick, I wouldnt mind us giving that up for him

Spencer White would be a massive get with our 2nd pick but i feel he may be gone before that. Will be rapt if we get him as he has great size already and body shape for his age. Will be a force when he is 23-25yo.

Comes from the same junior club as Callum Ward in Spotswood also who are a WRFL power house team.

I have been against us drafting best player available in the past with our first pick but this year I think we should. The best available player at pick 11 when we pick I think would be Dayle Garlett. I know Dayle has had off-field indiscretions but he is too good a talent to pass on. He is also the cousin of our small foward Jeff Garlett so I think he will feel right at home at Carlton. What are peoples thoughts on us drafting Dayle Garlett and do you think he would be an automatic inclusion in our best 22?

Christ the draft is still along way off.

All just names at the moment that mean bugger all to me, but I am looking forward to welcoming a couple of quality kids to the list. 11 will get us something nice and if we could manage to snavel a Hanneberry/Luke Parker/Josh Green second round gem we all of a sudden have some nice balance about our list again.

Yeah because he's turned out crap, while the guy we drafted is winning rising star awards...

Watched a few matches of Kersten's, he's actually lived up to the hype for mine. Aaron Black isn't too bad either, racist.
You are deadset close to being the inaugural member of my permanent you idiot list. You idiot! :D:thumbsu:

Then it's a good thing that Adelaide were interested in Lucas and not Talia who tore a hamstring in his draft year.

Wonder what you'd be saying if Talia's injury had reoccurred and he'd suffered Lucas' bad run with hamstrings since the draft.

I guess you wouldn't be so lippy.

It's the vibe.

If this, if that.

Back to reality, Lucas isn't being held back from injuries, what's holding him back is the fact that he's soft and his skills aren't what you talk them up to be.

And Talia's injury didn't reoccur and he is a damn good KPD.

And WTF does Adelaide's interests at the time have to do with anything? They'd all be looking back at that and saying thank god Carlton grabbed Lucas, we dodged a bullet there boys.

I'm sure recruiters laugh at the crap they read on here. ;):)

Played junior footy in his league at an opposition club. I speak to a few people who are still connected to the league but who are almost always negative when it comes to promoting their boys as future AFL guns. They love this kid and suggest he is a great athlete but has an even greater work ethic.
