And so it begins...

Exactly what I was about to say...I was waiting for the dreaded, annual Janurary Essendon injury curse to bob it's ugly head up again.

There's no way we are going to get away with having no injuries before the season starts.

But please let it not be Hurley. Anyone but him..and Crameri and Jobe...and Pears..and Winders too.

Harsh as it sounds, I'd take Winders doing both ACLs and retiring tomorrow if it meant Hurley, Heppell, Zaka, Watson, Crameri, Pears, Hooker, Melksham, Ryder and Stanton going the entire year unscathed.

I could live with that too.

Sorry Winders..:o

bit of an over reaction here.

nearly as good as the North fans expecting/HOPING for him to miss Round 1.

Two things

1) SEN has reported he will miss 4 weeks
2) Yet another injury reported on BF by an opposition supporter - Carlton supporter posted this last night.

What's your point, yaco?

4 weeks is a more severe injury and point 2 it is strange that opposition supporters have come on this board 2 or 3 times this pre-season to notify us of injuries - And they have been right.

Call the club, ask them to pass Jimmy your personal mobile number that we he can call you as soon as somebody does something.

Or you could just STFU and stop being a whiny petulant child.

Dean Robinson made it sound not that bad.
Found it before major damage was done, and are taking no risks.
2 weeks in the gym can't hurt. Hopefully this is the last injury worry.
Although the way he crashes packs he'll need tough ribs!

Why is it strange?

Hurley tells a mate, mate tells somebody that posts on BigFooty, said person is kind enough to let us know.

I was the opposition supporter who was kind enough to let you all know about his hamstring. Dont worry, all clubs play games when it comes to injuries.

Beat me to it as well haha. "David Hurley", spuds. :D

As long as its not major, and hes ready for the first or second round of the nab cup to build up a good base for the season ahead then I'm happy. Every team cops a few hamstrings here and there (although we seem to suffer more than most) at least Hurley doesn't have a history of hamstrings, I'm more worried about someone like Hooker or Long or Dempsey etc, even Jobe with his 2 hamstrings last year.
