NFL 2012 NFL - Week 4

Look at the carry numbers for MJD to put up the yardage that he did.

McCoy's year last year was more impressive than MJD's.

When healthy ADP but MJD he put up monster numbers and has no legitimate help to give him any sort of break on offence, JAX is very one dimensional,

That said none of you seem to rate Arian Foster?

I'd like to see McCoy get a few carries in the first half when the defense is fresh before I'd annoint him top 3, let alone best back in the league.

So would Eagles fans. But yeah, what a downhill skiier, putting up yardage when the games on the line.

People are acting like Shady's had one good game. Hes done nothing but perform since he's come into the league.

Your drawing a big bow if you think I even suggested he was a downhill skiier.

Totally agree.

Watching the game with intent today after i backed the G men and tipped them in AE i could not believe how easily the Giants line can be run around when the offense runs wide running plays while Osi blindly puts the blinkers on the the QB. McCoy was brilliant at this and exposed it big time in the 2nd half when Reid decided to finally run the ball.

JPP i was also watching closely and the amount of times he was held at the LOS and no Flags thrown was astounding and he is now reminding me of D Ware with the treatment he gets. Philly were good though and like these NFC East match ups every year they are hard fought contests and quite often won in the final minutes.

Great game. :thumbsu:
I think it's more of an issue when there is a mobile QB behind centre. Not even a highly mobile QB though, Rodgers does the same thing. We just get caught in two minds so often when there's a rushing threat other than the RB. Our run D is at least semi-adequate if there's only the RB to worry about.

Easy first downs vs the Giants D - Have a QB willing to move.

i do because he reamed Denver a week ago

Kind of funny given the way Baltimore whined it up after we handled them.

And even then there was plenty of Philly fans whining about Baltimore's perceived whining instead of enjoying the win. A city's fans that no matter what sport they're involved in, finds a way to look at the glass half empty.

Interesting that the most criticised pick of the draft, Tavon Wilson, leads the league in takeaways with 2 fumble recoveries and 2 picks #Ballhawk
Spikes should also lead the league in Forced fumbles, but they haven't credited him with one of them (forced one against the cards on their last drive and 2 today). He is just a vicious hitter. Had the most important play of the game, down 14-7 with a minutes left, not just stuffing Spiller on the one, but forcing a fumble

Do you keep the kicker who hit a 41 yard field goal to win the game for you or do you cut the kicker who went 1 from 4 on FG attempts which included a miss from 31?

Maybe I'm just used to the Redskins kicker-go-round.

Tips before the Baltimore/Cleveland Game

Baltimore to beat Cleveland
Atlanta to beat Panthers
Pats to beat Bills
Detroit over the Vikings
Houston over Titans
Chargers to beat Chiefs
49ers over Jets
Rams beat Seahawks
Arizona over Miami
Denver to beat Oakland
Bengals to beat Jville
Packers to beat New Orleans
Redskins to beat Tampa
Philly to beat Giants
Bears to beat Dallas

13/14 so far just missed out on Vikings/Detroit

But the most important one is tomorrow! Whats the predictions? Bears or Dallas

And now you're whining about your belief that others were whining that your team are a bunch of whiners.

You see how pointless your entire train of comment is?

Been making excuses for Sanchez but after today's game I am off the bandwagon. He was absolutely hopeless and just looked panicked and lost out there against the 9'ers. Sure his O-Line doesn't help him, sure his receivers are quite poor, but the turnovers he made today were absolutely pathetic. Lost Revis last week, Holmes this week, Sanchez is stinking it up, Tebow is a back-up who can't quarterback - I think the Jets are looking at a total rebuild at the end of the year which as a Melbourne supporter is something I'm not looking forward to. Anyone know a good NBA team I can bandwagon on? ;) I told my Miami supporting mates I was jumping on the Heat and they said I would jinx them and threatened to bash me.

I previously had Detroit and Washington as my NFC teams that I took an interest in but I think I'm going to jump on the Packers in the NFC. They're the only team not privately owned which is a huge appeal and the only reasons I didn't jump on them previously was because I didn't want to be seen as a bandwagoner and I hated the stupid cheesehead thing. Can't stop supporting the Jets but after watching the Demons stink it up for 6 years I don't know if I've got the inclination to wait out another rebuild although I know things can turn around much quicker in the NFL. I'll continue following them but need another team to watch to give me some joy.

Anyway the Jets are an absolute train wreck and a debacle. I've been waiting hoping the worm will turn and hanging my hat on glimpses but the last 3 games have totally lost me. For whatever reason Sanchez and the receivers aren't on the same page - Holmes has been sooking since last season and think he is a lockerroom cancer who should be booted too. Sanchez needs to go but pretty sure we just signed a contract extension this year so not sure where that leaves us??? So frustrating made even worse when my Geelong supporting fiance jumped on the Patriots when I jumped on the Jets (because of Tom Brady) - thank god they lost the Superbowl last year don't think I could stand it if they win one!!

In regards to Sanchez, you know what I find most amusing.
Most people jumped off his bandwagon last year despite it being his best season statistically.

ive never got that cheesehead thing. just stay jets, I felt the same way with freo this year after the derby and only wanted to support the yankees. the rebuild in the nfl is a much faster turn around than afl, just look at Detroit and compare to Melbourne. once tebow eventually starts exciting things will happen (trust me I know) and even if it doesn't, finish low and get high draft pick, a few good qbs coming out of college

Yeah I wasn't too fussed last year, thought he did OK until Mangold went down and the O-Line collapsed. This year he has had problems on offence but he has also been horrid and it's time to stop with the excuses. He needs to step up or step off, he is too timid at the moment. He needs to own the offence and direct them if not he's not the man for the job. Not sure about Tebow I seriously do not think he is the answer. Maybe a flash in the pan in a few games but against 9'ers, Texans, Ravens, Pats etc he will get destroyed.

tb_fanboy, don't worry I'm Jets now for better or worse. Following some other teams in the NFC is only for entertainment value, not the same as the frustration I feel watching New York.

The Jets need a complete overhaul. Sanchez and Rex Ryan both need to go. It will take probably 2 or 3 good drafts and a bit of luck and then they can challenge again.

Yep I agree, Ryan is just as much to blame, way too defense centric which is OK but not to the point where you neglect the offense. Honestly a half decent offense would have dokminated Miami by 3-4 TD's last week and would have been even with Pittsburgh. The defense I thought wasn't too bad considering Revis wasn't there today but the offense was putrid starting with Sanchez's turnovers and continuing with Holmes refusal to put in 100% - it's bad that he got injured but the play where he got injured and just gave up the ball for a TD was pretty poor also. Just throw the ball away don't hand it straight to the opposition. Harsh but seriously when you're on millions cop the whack.

That's why anyone with half a clue doesn't look at the box score...
